Derek's Story is out now 💖💖💖. Spend wonderful summer days in the company of Derek Suarez during Steps 2 and 4! This is an optional paid DLC for the free game Our Life: Beginnings & Always.
For the launch week, the Derek DLC is 10% off! And all the older DLCs are at a 20% discount, too.
FEATURES:
- Unlocks 5 Step 2 Moments: Responsible, Lemonade, Soiree (Derek's Version), Siblings, & Boardwalk
- Unlocks an entirely new storyline in Step 4
- Allows you to form a deeper relationship with Derek Suarez (platonic or romantic) and get to know his family
- Includes new character sprite art, background locations, and CG images
- Provides even more options for adding custom qualities to your character. Is your protagonist good with kids or is that way too much of a hassle?
- Unlocks bonus scenes in the other Step 2 Moments, and in Step 3 Moments where what happened in these events is referenced and reflected on
- Increases the overall playtime by multiple hours
The base game and all the DLCs, other than the voiced name DLC, were also updated with fixes/Derek related alterations. If you have the game already, please download the new updates. The Android version has been changed to have an easier install method across all DLCs!
I appreciate how patiently people have waited for this expansion. It's been great to finally let Derek have his time to shine, and I really hope everyone loves him, and his lovely family too!

GOD I LOVE THIS DLC SO MUCH, WILL IT NEVER HAPPEN OR MAYBE IN THE FUTURE? I DON'T KNOW, A DEREK WEDDING DLC OR WE ALREADY FORM OUR FAMILY WITH HIM, THE SAME FOR COVE. BUT IT'S ONLY IN MY MIND, I LOVE YOUR PROJECTS, THEY ARE ALWAYS A RELIEF FOR ME TO PLAY THEM, IT HELPS ME A LOT ☹️💕

Just finished Derek's Story - mah HEART. You've done it AGAIN, GBPatch!
It was incredibly fulfilling getting to really see (and grow!) with the Suarezes - Jorge and Nico are baby bois for LYFE. And my MC officially has Mom 4 and Dad 2 in her roster. <3 I also appreciated the little additions to make it more Derek-centric - like Step 3 phone call and we got to see his sprite (and FLIRT SHAMELESSLY)
Admittedly, there were times where I was like 'COME ON, DEREK' during his epilogue (must all these boys be dense Disasters lol) - but I really appreciated the reasons behind his long absence. Specifically as a device to develop his character/internal struggles. While rough at times - i.e. me sharing my MC's frequent disappointment Derek would. Not. Do. the THING; it turned out to be rooted in something very plausible and a real issue many deal with. Beyond that: you gave me more Liz bonding time, sooo. haha A++ Yet again proving romance is merely cute extra to Family Life(TM)~ (Will we get Lee in Baxter DLC? You should add Lee in Baxter DLC.)
So worth the wait. Thank you so much for gracing us yet again!
(P.S. Totes waited for a 'Where the Magic Happens' achievement to pop up when certain polite boy's bedroom is unlocked ;)))

I loved this DLC as much as i loved all of the cove stories dlc and wedding dlc.
If i could give any critical feedback on the games as general: If you play a really direct route, like you know you like this guy, and you make it clear to him, he's still 'not sure' if you like him. Very minor, but it's kinda like how thick are you :D
I absolutely loved this DLC, and seeing that Baxter is going to get one too OMG. I expected nothing less than greatness after playing the Cove section, and I was not disappointed.

I downloaded the new version of the game 1.6.0 and even put the Derek dlc rpa in the new game folder. I also swapped to the Derek moments page but his options were locked for me. Derek is my #1 favorite character and I was waiting for this dlc for a long time but its just not working.
Can you show me what your "game" folder looks like?
I see what happened. The DLC is in the Our Life-160-pc folder, it's gotta be in the folder called "game" that's inside the Our Life folder. Right now it's in the spot where you launch Our Life, but not within the contents of the game itself so it can't unlock.

his dad being so openly knowing that hes in love, and everybody telling him to shush, like Derek saying he has something to share, and his dad without a beat going, Ah yes, youre in a relationship. WAS SO FUNNY TO ME OMG.
an awesome job, I loved this dlc i think next to step three and cove wedding dlc this is the best one, and its so long, i love love love it,

Downloaded version 1.6.0 of the game, paid for and downloaded the Derek.rpa file, put it in the game folder. Still can't access the Derek pages. What am l doing wrong. Feel like such a noob. Love this game and looked forward to the new route. Please help.
Are they locked or do you not see them at all? Did you click the yellow button on the Step 2 Moment selection screen to swap from Cove's moments to Derek's?

Hello! Someone else had that problem and they fixed it by updating the main game. You can delete the older build, down the new version of OL + all the most recent DLC, and then put the DLC into the new "game" folder.
