OLNF Major Demo Update Out Now! 🍂
Our Life: Now & Forever has gotten a significant update to its free demo. More childhood wonder and teenage angst await 😄.
This might be only a demo, but it has a massive script of 256,000 words (the version before was 161,000 words). Of course, it's not 256k straight through. There are that many words because there's so many alterations within the story based on your personality, relationships, and choices. You'll hopefully have fun playing not only once, but multiple times!
Everybody is welcome to post their thoughts, share screenshots, or stream the demo. We'd love to know what players think.
New Additions:
- Step 1 Moment "Fancy Fun"
- Remaining Step 2 Prologue Scenes
- Step 2 Moment "Assistance"
- Revamped tutorial
- Choice tracking system (star icons will appear next to choice options you've made in prior playthroughs)

The content that was already in the demo was: the full Step 1 prologue, the Step 1 Moments "Walks" and "Wheels", and a small preview of the Step 2 prologue.

Hey! Im really excited for this update!!! Do you think in the future you will have "angsty" options for mc?
(such as implied depression, or other mental health issues for mc. Ideation, anxiety, etc?) You see, I relate heavily with Qiu. I actually was recently discharged from inpatient lol...I'd like to express how I feel similar.
Of course, this is just a suggestion! I love the game, and have been here since the first demo! (With a different account, unfortunately. RIP past account.)
We're so glad you're excited! As for your question, the MC can have scenes where they are upset, though the game won't ever say directly that the MC is diagnosed with depression or anxiety. Thanks so much for following.
Checking the page every day hoping for an update, hehe. I already played the first demo and I loved it! I can't wait to see the final version! So I'll wait until it's complete to play it fully. Im so friggin excited!!!! I played this last 7 months ago (wow, feels like forever). I loved the last game, and I know when this comes out, ill love it even more! tysm for being amazing! this as a stand alone for free is CRAZY, It's soooo good, I would pay so much money for this! keep up the great work!
Forgive me for being dumb but how am i supposed to play the update?
I just searched on google...AM I SUPPOSED TO KIND OF REPLAY THE WHOLE THING ON A NEW VERSION????? the latest one is 1.5.1 i think i have the 1.3.5 one

nah just delete your files and then download the new update you should still have stuff saved lol at leasts thats how it is for other stuff
The game's persistent save data is saved separately from the main folder, so if you download the 1.5.1 update, it should allow you to load your old saves. There are some possible save incompatibilities, but most will work OK. Thanks so much for playing!
idk if its my devices fault but the game gets super laggy everytime the raining effect appears, i use android btw, anyways just wanna let you know that playing your games always brighten up my day, so keep up the good work!!

I also experience lag with the rain at times, and when it begins to happen I turn off background animation in settings ! You can do it right in the middle of gameplay and you won’t lag anymore

Darn, that's really unfortunate. I'll raise this with the programmers and see if there is something they can find. In the meantime, you might try changing the settings to turn off animations and seeing if that does anything. Sorry I can't be of more help right now, but hopefully we can figure out the issue.

another year, another great ol:n&f demo update! super hyped for the full game release. this game is so thoughtfully put together and well written that waiting just makes it more worth it, and before i knew it, the game became something i looked forward to playing a new update of every year. I really, REALLY can't wait. 2026 is gonna be a good year!
