hey, i was wondering if there is a reason Cove has wavy eyebrows, was it just a design choice or is there a reason for the shape? i've played this game so many times and i never really thought about it until now.
I came for romantic love, and stayed for all the experiences with our family and the Holden family. It's so crazily immersive and so customizable that whenever they compliment me, I feel like they are speaking to me and not my character. As someone who had a horrible childhood if there was any, I want to thank GBPatch for allowing me to experience being in a loving and caring household. For once, I can experience it myself and know I'm worthy of unconditional love from my family(instead of always jealously onlooking others). Thank you guys.
You just need to extract the zipped folder using something like Winzip or similar program. Then there's a launcher inside the opened folder that you click to open the game.
You can say you like him and/or kiss him at the very end of Step 2 if you have a crush, but you're not really getting together at that point 'cause you're just a couple of thirteen-year-olds.

I really like this game, its soo cute, and Cove is such a sweetheart. I also love how diverse not only the customization of your character is but the rest of characters as well. I personally loved the autistic and trans representation, i feel seen! I genuinely connected with Cove and the rest of characters, which i usually dont. Im gonna miss them
This is just way too good I genuinely love him so much. I wanted to get the friendly ending at the end but I just love him too much I ended up dating him after all. Cove is just too lovely, and I love the sister's relationship with MC. And thank you for making this game as diverse as possible. I'll be looking forward to your future works!
I just stayed up for well over 8 hours straight playing this, and I only stopped because I don't want it to end. Everything about this is amazing. To the writing, music, characters, endless choice options, to the amount of personalization provided, it's truly more than a work of art. It's a game that makes you feel nostalgic, at home. You truly feel like you're growing up with these characters, and you guys did it beautifully. I know I'll eventually continue this game and finish it and be depressed, but thank you for giving us an opportunity to know Cove and this story. You've touched thousands of hearts and healed hundreds. Thank you, and I look forward to finishing my journey with this game!

I absolutely loved this game, even though I'm now filled with a loving void. It started with a $20 bill, and it ended with me falling in love with not just Cove, but the entire game itself. This game is literally the cutest game in the whole entire world! The story was amazing and I enjoyed replaying the game to try out all of the different options. Cove is such a cutie lmao. 10/10, I would recommend playing!!! <3
hi!! ive had this game since it released (and i love it :). recently though, its been saying that i'm missing the soiree file, then either making me skip the scene or it just closes the game immediately. this hasn't happened to me before and i can't seem to fix it. ive tried to redownload the game but it still says the same thing. i have all the extension packs added to the game so could that possibly be affecting it? if you possibly know why its doing this could you help me fix it? thank you!!

It took me like 5/6 hours to finish the entire game (I am just flexing), but I wanted to say that the whole game really made me emotional while playing it and I'm really glad that I decided to install it. I like the game so much that I sometimes get back to it just to see what would happen if I picked a different answer, have a nice day/night and remember to stay hydrated. ❤

I've spent an hour or two trying to get the apk for Android to work. I'm kicked out of the app everytime. Did anyone with Android make it work and how? I really want to play this game
It might need more space than it seems or your virus scanner/basic phone settings might not let it run because it's a random app that's not from the normal GooglePlaystore. Sometimes a system decides it's too suspicious to run. Checking your permissions and/or opening up more memory might help!
I'm sorry, I don't know what's happening with that error or the bug it's saying the game has. I'll try to see what's going on, it might be a compatibility problem with whichever specific Android device you have.
First of all, i want to thank past me for being bored and sad at 2am causing me to browse itch.io for visual novels. And because of that i found a gold mine, the best among the best in the visual novel category imo. I red through the free content, not expecting to be absolutely in love with everything! The characters, the art, tbe writing, the ost! Everything is 100% better then i expected. After reading the free content once and cried. I bought the dlc, and cried even harder. Ive been a crybaby for my whole life, but this vn made me cry even in my 7th playthrough.
I cant thank you enough for creating Cove, he became my comfort character and he motivated me to free myself from my horrible mental state and he even made me love art again. Im really sorry for rambling but thank you from the bottom of my heart for creating this beautiful story and for sharing it to the world.
I accidentally stumbled onto this game and my heart was stolen. Interesting visuals, very interesting plot too. This is one example where every choice matters and each choice shapes the character we play. The ending was so cool, and i was crying because that was so touching. I even played this more than once because i just loved every aspect of this game.
I randomly stumbled upon this game and was hooked for over 12 hrs. Needless to say, I felt very seen as I share some "attributes" w/ Cove (w/out spoiling). Absolutely LOVED it, the art, characters, story, Cove LOL, and honestly wondered what would've happened if I found this sooner.. Thanks so much for the experience! I'll definitely be playing this again with the DLCs and am looking forward to y'all's next games <3
This game has taken over my life for the last few days! I love everything about it. I fell in love with the town they live in, I love the characters, and I'm in love with Cove. This game is just amazing, and I have nothing bad to say about it, and I'll definitely be saving up to buy all the add-ons because I'll do anything for move Cove content. This game got me in my feelings so many times. It made me reminisce about my own childhood because I also grew up in a seaside tourist town. Love it! 1000/10.
This game... just no words. The art, the characters, the story just... so amazing. There's only a handful of games i can say truly changed me and made me feel so connected to it and this is one of them. Truly so so beautiful and heartwarming i will definitely miss the feelings i felt playing this for the first time. I will always remember this game.

I cannot give it enough praise, Our Life: Beginnings and Always is a masterpiece. I truly felt love for my moms, for my sister, for my friends, even for my enemies. But above all, Cove is such a beautiful soul. Watching him heal and become a mature, kind-hearted man. He really is the goal.
I've never felt this way about a light novel. It felt so hard to let go of my friends and family when the game was over, but I know that they will always be there.
Soooo, I'm playing on a MacBook Air and have run into a bit of a problem. I was trying to play the soiree part of the DLC but it says on my game that it 'could not find label "soiree_common,' could I have some help?
You might need to download an updated version for the main game or the Step 2 DLC or the Derek DLC. That error usually appears if something it's 100% up to date. Or if no DLC Moments are playable that means the DLC could be in the wrong location in your folder. I'm glad you're enjoying it!

I think one of the coolest things about this, to me, is how there are so many decisions down to the littlest things that it makes your playthrough feel so unique, like it's astronomically improbable that there's anyone out there who had the exact same playthrough as you. I also very much like just how realistic it is, especially with how some things in life just come and go in life. How we might have loved something or someone at some point and then later on in life never think about them again.
im still in the process of my first playthrough, ive seen this game a couple times and decided to check it out, and oh my god, this is amazing i can see how much time and effort you put into this! edit: i just finished, this game really impressed me! this was REALLY well made, if your looking for a romance based game, but also! even just friendly, than you should check this out! it even lets you pick your sexuality, even being aroace! and ive been looking for a game that lets you be aroace for a while, anyways this is getting long, but this is a really nice peacefulish game and it will keep you hooked for hours.

It's a design choice because of the game's ocean theme and because it made him look kind of nervous/concerned by default, haha.

Edit: Downloading and updating the base game version to 1.6.3 worked for me.
