Technically yes! The DLCs from itch are independent rpa files that work on both the Steam and itch versions. You just have to download the free base game on Steam, and then move the DLC rpa files into the "game" folder of the Steam directory. You can find this by right clicking on the game in your library, clicking "Manage", and then "Browse Local Files". If you need more help getting it set up, just let me know!

When does this error pop up? When you're trying to pay for the DLC here on itch.io? Worst case, you can actually get the DLCs on Steam, and they will work for the itch version as well. But hopefully we can figure something out here.
hello, so I purchased Step 1,2,and 3 DLCs, and followed the instructions of putting the rpa files into my Our Life game folder. But when I try to run the game with any DLCs rpa file in the game folder it comes back with a popup that says
"I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.
While running game code:
Exception: Could not load from archive DLC_Step_1/moment_selection_dlc1.rpyc."
If someone could please help me that would greatly appreciated!
If I buy the game will the locked chapters (on the summer break and every step) will unlocked??? I download the game but I only download the free one sooo I can't play the other ones that locked so I'm planning to buy it

Can we pay in another method then card and paypal?,I don't have PayPal nor do I have a bank account?.I do have an online balance though but there's no other choice but to pay those two way
I don't think there is another way. You might be able to get a temporary credit card, sort of like a gift card, and pay that way. But otherwise, I think it's just those two methods. Sorry about that, but thank you for being interested in the game!
I'm on ChromeOS and I downloaded the base game through Itch.io and I've bought all the DLC's yet I cant seem to download any of them, everytime I've tried all it says is; An error occurred during installation. No manager for installer unknown. Can someone please help?
I'm sorry they're not working. Can you try downloading them through the Itch app if you're using the webpage or using the normal webpage if you're using the app? Sometimes switching where you download them from can solve the problem.

Yeah, your data can be in the game whether you open the Itch or Steam version. Save files can be moved. And you can move the DLC files from the Steam OL folder to the Itch OL folder and it will work just fine!
Hello! I loveeee the game so I went and bought the DLC's :) but when I added them and opened the game, the gallery was empty even though I've already played it once and gathered a few images :( Is this normal?

Awhile back on Steam I got all of the DLC's and was using them non-stop pretty much, but recently I switched over to a MacBook and i'm not able to access any of my DLC's due to the game not being available on steam for Mac. Is there a way to avoid paying for all of the DLC's again so I can use it on my MacBook as well?
I'm sorry for the trouble with that. The game isn't officially approved by Apple, it's a third party app. You can still download it for Mac if you want to, but getting it to work can be annoying because Apple tries to stop people from using third party apps. But either way, the DLC files are exactly the same on Itch and Steam. So you can download it from Steam, look in the local files for the DLC rpa files, and then move those rpa files into the Itch Mac version.

But seriously, if anyone can help me I'll be very happy. I have the step 1,2 and the wedding DLCs. I play on Android. I followed the step by step of a comment I saw on some DLCs. Regarding how to download on Android, I did exactly as they said, only through Windows since I couldn't use the folders on my cell phone, so I had to use a USB cable. I downloaded the DLCs, extracted them, and copied them to the game folder, went into the files folder, created the "game" folder and placed the DLCs inside. I followed exactly these steps as I saw in a comment, and the person who followed said that it worked. But for some reason, even though I have put all the DLCs in the game folder, when I enter it it is still blocked! I really feel very frustrated, because I absolutely LOVE this game and I'm obsessed with trying to unlock the DLCs but I just can't! If you can help me or someone who also plays on Android can help me, I will be immensely grateful. Please, I'm seriously in tears here, Is it too much to ask for me to be able to plan my wedding with Cove? 😩😖
I'm sorry it's not working! You don't need to use folders anymore, that was replaced with a new method. Now what you have to do is uninstall the base game, install the DLC, launch the DLC and see the pop up that the DLC has been unlocked, and uninstall the DLC. After that you either install the main game again or repeat the process for any other DLCs you own. The main game shouldn't be downloaded again until you've unlocked your DLCs.
But then, instead of using folders, I use these RPA files? For me they appear as separate sheets, do I have to open these sheets? On PC I managed to unlock the DLCs and even played some on PC. But I also wanted to unlock it on my cell phone, since I don't always have my PC on me and it would be easier on my cell phone. The issue of files on my cell phone is confusing for me 😿
I think you might be downloading the PC version of the DLCs and not the Android version. The Android builds don't come with rpa files, they're an apk specially for Android. This is what yo need Our Life - Step 1 DLC (Android)
So maybe that was it and I was downloading it wrong. I managed to unlock steps 1,2, and 3 of the game. But the marriage one, even though it was the one I wanted most, is not unlocking. I managed to get the others, but this one in particular doesn't appear for me, it remains as not installed
Try uninstalling the base game, downloading the wedding DLC first, opening the wedding DLC, see if it says it is installed, and then repeat the process with the other DLCs. Download the base game last.

I'm really sorry that happened! Sometimes updating the gallery pictures to glitch and lock again. But they should unlock if you see them again.
