omg I remember 2 years ago playing the demo and being so impatient for the full release... and now here I am 2 years later stumbling back on itch to see this fully released GEM of a game! :,-)

Haha, I'm glad you found it again and I hope it'll be worth the wait!

(+2)

This was a wonderful visual novel, truly. Since the game isn't extremely long, I find myself being able to play it multiple times to explore the different endings. I've played twice, dying once and finishing with Lu and The Guide. Lu is a sweetheart and I have to try again to romance him! I'll definitely be checking out more of GBPatch's games.

(+1)

Thank you so much! It's really nice to hear you're enjoying the game <3

Good luck finding more endings and romancing Lu. I hope you're able to find his full ending/all his CGs, it's pretty neat.

(+1)

Man, I wish there were more visual novels like this. The whole dimension of the plot and the characters really weighs in on you. You have no idea how frantic I was to save everyone, until I had to give up on the inevitable. Plus, that twist with the guide. Gives me the shivers.

Thank you so much :D! It's really nice to hear it had an impact. Hopefully sometime we can make another serious and mystery type of story.

(1 edit) (+2)

I really love this game and how its made but i just wish i could romance the guide and actually have a good ending being with him.I really like him and how he is.

(+2)

I'm really glad you liked it! But I'm sorry the guide is such a miserable heart breaker, aha. He's not willing to take a chance, I'm afraid.

(+1)

Dang.Just one more question before i go sulk in my room. Do you plan on making a part two to this one? I know this one is finished but can ya blame a gurl for not wanting to give up on the guide...XD.  I feel like even one of those bonus stories (with the guide) is enough to make my inner guide fangirl shut up.

(+2)

I'm afraid we're probably not going to do more content for Lake of Voices. We're really busy trying to finish Our Life and XOXO Blood Droplets, plus Floret Bond. We have to let LoV rest and complete new projects.

But there are other fans who feel the same way as you! If you're interested, you can check out this really nice Guide/Kikka fanfic that was made a little while back-

god I played this forever ago and i still think about it, it left such a weirdly lasting impact on me that I can't explain, I romanced the guide my first time through and it was such a weirdly bittersweet thing that it stuck with me, sometimes I wished for a happier ending but I think that might be why i still think about it, because it was so heckin beautiful and it left me with a hole in my girly soul, the voice acting was great and honestly i love the horror/romance vibe, i wish it was more popular, not the spooky vampire stuff but genuine horror, like this, stuff that I really should not be playing at 2 in the morning but I do anyway because i'm irresponsible. Sorry i'm rambling a bit, i've recently been looking into more VNs of this genre and Lake of voices is the standard I keep comparing them all to, my weak heart can't take it ;~:

Aw,  thank you so much for the thoughtful comment ^^! I'm happy to hear the game stuck with you, even though it's something of a downer route. It's really nice that you appreciate the tone we went with for the game.

(1 edit) (+1)

I finally got around to playing it! I'll be doing the rest on my own, but I'll just drop this short let's play/try here.

(+1)

Thank you so much for doing a playthrough of this too <3!

(+3)

SPOILERS::::

OMFG, those bonus scenes killed me XXDD Also, I know it isn't canon because Dour is an emotionally constipated bastard, but I choose to believe he's just really frickin bad at handling crushes hence him pushing Kikka away or killing her lol

(+2)

Haha, thank you very much! Yeah, Dour is a miserable pill. If only his situation was different. Then he could've allowed himself to actually feel something for a change.

(+2)

I love this game, as much as it irks me to no end to feel so cheated for so many routes, and the bonus content is so on point I couldnt help but end smiling at the end. Was a nice remise from all of the deaths.

Srsly, I rly wanted everyone to live, but I think it feels fitting after all of the ends, to acknowledge how it goes.

thanks for making this game, is truly brilliant.

(+1)

Thank you very much! Haha, yeah, the game is meant to be a bit of a pain/downer. I'm glad you enjoyed it for what it was!

(1 edit) (+1)

I'll be playing the game soon. 100% sure it will emotionally crush me because I always try to save everyone in games like this one, haha. Will let you know when I finish playing!

EDIT: Wait a minute, if at least one will die, can I sacrifice myself to save others?

(+1)

Good luck! There are endings where the MC dies trying to help others, but either someone else has already died or it's so early in the story that it's pretty much inevitable that more people are going to die as the journey goes on, .  The MC of this game is pretty important to have around. With her gone there isn't much hope for the others. The guide and just one other person, or possibly only the guide, will make it to the end. Though the MC won't be around to see it. I'm sorry it's such a downer, aha. Being that MC is a rough job.

Well that's quite unfortunate, haha. It will make the experience even more heartbreaking, knowing that I cannot sacrifice myself to save the rest. I'm sure this game will be quite the emotional rollercoaster, can't wait to play it!

I hope it won't be too miserable of an experience, haha. Thank you for giving it a try!

I just finished Lu's route. This game absolutely blew my expectations out of the water and I honestly don't know if I'm really happy or mad at that ending, but I loved playing the game. I was really shocked at all that transpired and just thank you all for making this awesome game.

Thank you so much ^^! Haha, I'm sorry about Lu though. Things are pretty unfortunate all the time for the lad.

(+1)

Streamed this for my first visual novel playthrough and I definitely was not disappointed. Definitely going back in to explore all the options. Great voicing, great soundtrack, great art, great game!

Thank you for the kind words! I'm happy to hear it worked well for your stream :D.

(+1)

I love the game so far but is there any way to get a good end with the guide?

(+2)

Aha, well, maybe? His route has two endings; one where you choose to listen to him right before reaching the shore and one where you decide it's better to not do that. Then there is a totally different route that has a choice option which gives a special guide-centric epilogue . Whether or not any of that is considered 'good' definitely depends on the player.  I'm sorry he's such a difficult one.

(+1)

Honestly, this game amazed me. The art is stunning and the voice acting was so spot on, really did set the mood. It kept me on edge, but in the good way. Thank you so much for this.

Thank you so much ;v;. I'm really glad you feel that way about it!

(+1)

I have put this game off for so long because it's not normally the type that I enjoy. I'm so glad that I gave it a go though, it was stunning. The story entraped me, I had to find out as much as I could in one sitting and it still left me wanting more. The art is beautiful and the voices for the characters really suit, which is fantastic. Amazing game!

Thank you so much for giving it a try and for the kind words! I'm really glad it ended up being enjoyable ^^.

Alright, I have finished almost all the routes and Lu's route. My favorite character is still the Guide, but I think that Lu's route definitely contains the happiest options for Kikka and is best for her, even if I still ship Kikka and the Guide, deep down... >v> I'm going to assume that the (SPOILER ALERT!) fate of the relationship between the "certain race" and the other "certain race" is left to our own imagination, so I hope that everything goes well in the end. The Guide (and his route) was a little bit of a letdown in terms of romance, but I still like him a lot because he tries his best to do what is right in his opinion, and he's super intriguing as a character overall. His half-exasperated and half-emotionless personality is really funny to follow at times.

Anyhow, this was truly an amazing game, I loved it so much! It's one of the best visual novels I've played in a really long time. I really look forward to seeing more games in the future if that is what you have in mind! Thanks so much for "Lake of Voices" and everything it has to offer. :D

Thank you! I'm so happy you enjoyed the game overall and like the grumpy guide, haha. He's quite a difficult one.

I honestly have so much love for this game. It is genuinely creepy and I want to know morrre about The Guide.

Aaw, thank you so much! Good luck finding info on him. There's some juicy details in certain routes, including routes that aren't his own~

I love this game I really do! It wonderful and goregous and I'm so happy it was made. HOWEVER I'm am at my wits end trying to get the other two bonus endings, and I'm not sure if I romanced the guide right either. If you can just spell it out for me  that would be great Lol. I read the hints I don't know what I'm doing wrong. *hugs all the creators*

(+1)

Thank you so much ^^! The last two bonus events are unlocked the same way. Here's a step-by-step guide (SPOILERS):

-On Night 1 let Bemelle die, save Margret and save Lu

-Romance Lu (spend time with just him whenever possible and always be kind/reassuring)

-At the beginning of Night 2 when the Guide is in trouble, don't do anything, just let the timer run out. This is a major choice that sets you on a new story branch. Finding that opens up a fair amount  of new possibilities, so you may want to try going through that story route blind for the first time to avoid spoilers. Or feel free to follow the rest of the steps outlined below.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Continue to romance Lu by letting him open up about himself

-Keep going and going no matter what happens

-When the guide goes to handle something on his own, have Kikka check on him

-And then continue on until the end of the game. There are one to two more choices that you'll get, but you can do whatever you want with those. Any of the four ending versions of that route will unlock the bonus events

The guide does have multiple endings, but none of them are great, aha. I can't say for sure if you romanced him properly or not because of that.

Good luck! I hope you'll enjoy the remaining content :D

Oh! Thank  you so much for replying!! I'm going to try  what you suggested . I can't stress how much I love this game, the story is so rich and leaves me wanting to know more about the world this is set in. I hope you revisit it sometime in the future. I have to agree with  celestialsuniverse I'm really intrigued by the Guide, ESPECIALLY [[ Spoiler Hint]] when he says certain things after certain dialogue queues.  Kikka is my little cinnamon roll!! Can I ship them together? Lol It may be a... *ahem*  Game Theory but it seems to me that The Guide is interested in Kikka and when you do certain things at certain places and he says certain things it ALMOST betrays his interests? Maybe?  Or maybe I'm looking to hard? Lol I don't care I will go down with this ship happily!! Once again thank you so much for this game and replying to my desperate plea Lol!

Aaw, it's no problem. Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoy the game that much. And I have to agree that the guide probably does have a special 'interest' in Kikka, haha. Even though none of his endings are that great ;v;.

My favorite character so far is the Guide - I really don't know why, but he always seemed really interesting to me.

I'm not completely done with all the endings and CGs in the game yet, but I just wanted to ask - is there an ending with the Guide that does not end (spoiler alert) in the two of them dying?

(+1)

I'm glad you like it! There are three endings for his route (SPOILERS): One where he comes back to help you but you don't chose to gain more affection through the remaining options, one where you get full affection and choose to listen to the Guide in the final timed choice of the route (that's the one where both of them fall into the lake), and one where you get full affection and chose not to the listen to the Guide during the final timed choice. The guide also has an ending that's sort of based around him in someone else's route. And it's only in that one ending that they both die.

Good luck! I hope you'll enjoy his other conclusions :]

Yeah full realise  :) And my review.

Sorry I'm late. xD
My opinion about  the game haven't  change much ... I still think it's great! Everything is as great as in demo (and even better) plus it's full and long game ♥

My favourites are characters are still: Kikka and Margaret.

I still really like Kikka. She seems to be cold-hearted, quiet, calm and tough warrior focused on surviving but when you'll spend a little time with her, you realise she's very nice and caring person, too. "unexpectedly soft heart"

Margaret is very interesting person, too. Very cute. A little clumsy and attracting problems type. Someone who needs to be saved but also someone you want to save.
She was a little bit harsg at the begenning of the story but her behavior changes a little bit later. She is acutally very nice and kind person.  And her story is very good, too.
Their little chit=chats were very funny and lovely.

The Lake of Voices is game of many choices, trial, interesting situations, sad moments and endings. It has very big replay ability. And I'll try to finish it again later but with other choices this time.

(+1)

Thank you so much for all that! I'm really glad it lived up to expectations. Good luck with your future playthroughs!

I finally got a happy ending, sorta! As happy as I could get in this game. That just really shows how well written this game is, as every choice you make is not good or bad. You just have to make a choice to survive, and that's a great aspect in a good game! Great job!

Thank you so much for playing until Kikka made it. That's a tough task, haha. It was great seeing you find a way to the other side and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

If you're ever looking for another creepy VN to play, feel free to check out our other horror game "XOXO Blood Droplets". It's only a demo, but the demo has 13 different endings to find (all bad) and several 'to be continued' conclusions. It's got a very different tone than Lake of Voices, though we definitely think it's entertaining to go through.

https://gbpatch.itch.io/xobd

Hello! I haven't played much of the game yet, but everything I have seen is wonderful. However, I believe I've found a problem. I'm on the second day when they're leaving the island (my party is Bemelle, Lu, and the Guide), and after I choose to fight my way through the Nix in order to make it to the bridge, there's a bit of dialogue and then it abruptly goes to the main menu. There isn't an end screen or anything, so I assume that's not supposed to happen. Is this a bug?

Thank you so much for the kind words! That is a bug and we just fixed it. If you delete your current game file and download the new version, it should be just fine . Although, your current save file might not be salvageable. The glitch came from the choice where the guide is in trouble on the shore and you can choose to watch, throw the lantern, or let the time run out. If you've saved passed that point, there's no way to fix the glitch in that save file. You'll have to load an early save or start a new file. I'm really sorry for the trouble!

Thanks!

Wow, seriously, oh my gosh, that was absolutely fantastic! Thank you for this gem!!! You're incredibly talented :)

Starting off, I was really impressed with quality of voice acting, art, and music. The lake's mysterious vibe definitely drew me in right off the bat.

I played Bemelle's story, then Margret's, then The Guide's, and finally Lu's. Frankly, I was a little disappointed by the Guide's storyline because I thought it would reveal the origin of the lake and some kind of disturbing backstory, and while it did reveal his "origin story," it didn't add as much depth to what the reader already knew from the beginning. At this point, I came to the conclusion that there must not have been any backstory beyond evil monsters killing people for fun and I was debating whether or not I should play Lu's route 'cuz I thought I had seen most of the dialogue and it was getting repetitive.

Let me say that romancing Lu and getting to see his true ending was the BEST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE ;____;

READERS, if you HAVEN'T seen Lu's true ending, YOU NEED TO SEE IT!!! My heart asdfgshjdggkl T___T Find yoself a man who looks at you the way Lu looks at Kikka. But play it last, because his route reveals the lake's backstory - SUPER, SUPER INTERESTING STUFF. Plus, you probably won't want to romance anyone after Lu because he's definitely best husband.

The bonus scenes made me laugh so hard, thank you so much for those! You have a lovely writing style and an incredible sense of humor.

Overall, I enjoyed the story very much, particularly Lu's route. I hope you keep creating awesome content! Thank you so much for the thrill <3

Aaw, thank you so much for all of that ;v;! The guide is definitely a lousy guy who lets everyone down, haha. I'm really glad you think Lu's route was worth the time, though. The little lad tries his best.

So. I came into it knowing nothing and expecting nothing (read: ie my feels were intact and my heart was beating along just merrily, thank you) then I finished the entirety of the game. and.

(Spoiler warning)

Ok I’m a basic gal so I have very few priorities and they are as follows:

FIRST you kill off my hubby Lu?? What ? I was ready for our 2-Day long initial meeting to turn into the love affair of the century (because am in love with Phil Avalos’ voice like ohmegee) but it didn’t happen and ?? How dare you ?

Then, it turns out he ain’t dead ??? Only for him to toss my sweet, beautiful queen (read: Margret) to her death ???????? Um, excuse me ?

I didn’t ?

consent ?

And that whole twist with the truth of Sinnlos was something I just wasn’t prepared for AT ALL. like. I just thought the creepy lake was a creepy lake for Plot reasons but NO. usually I’m p good at noticing foreshadowing or just predicting plot twists in general but THIS ONE. You know how when your computer is trying to run a particularly taxing program and it starts making those sad human-help-i-can’t-compute noises ? me. 100%, irrevocably me . i . i just. how dare you ? my heart ? my JOY ???

This is like the exact opposite of the whole “my crops are watered my depression is gone” meme bc man do i FEEL like that morbid lake efhj

(Now don’t get me wrong I loved every second of it it was beautiful and well written and I almost cried but damn do I feel the inexplicable urge to crawl into a lair of puppies and just lay down for eternity)

Lastly, I really feel like this would make a good movie?? Idk, just with the grim and mysterious atmosphere, and the fact that you’re given very little information about the world but it feels safe to make assumptions only for BAM thou art a fool to happen. Quality content is all I’m saying huhu. ALSO THE ART WAS BEAUTIFUL i bow before it tbh

BUT YES I loved this game so much, the effort and heart that went into it is really endearing and remarkable. feel free to wreck me all over again w another game ;) maybe i’ll be more prepared next time lolol

Haha, thank you so much for all of that! It was really fun reading about your emotional journey.

Our next horror game is XOXO Blood Droplets, which is a disturbing black comedy. So a very different tone from Lake of Voices, aha. But after XOBD, we do hope that our third horror title will be haunting and depressing like LoV was!

I made many bad choices this round and I am determined to save as many people as I can! You guys make every choice seem like a good one because the writing is just so good! I'm loving this game!

(+2)

im gonna keep it real w/u chief...havent even finished the game yet...i gotta say... bemelle, lu and margaret have died....why did u make me do this. i was gonna marry bemelle. we were gonna have a family and be happy. u didn't have to. rip bemelle

Oh no, I'm sorry your relationship was torn apart. There is a way to make things work out with that nice boy. I hope you're able to find it and the two of you have a good life together.

(1 edit)

Well, that's the only game with choices that I found difficult. Like, the only person that survived is the main character. I was sure it supposed to be that way until I read the comments and I was stunned. What backstory, what character development. Now I'm sad, I could save poor Lu, I loved him, but it's one of the reasons I'll play this game until I'll get a satisfactory result. I enjoyed it, even though it was short for me. Very good job, amazing artwork and voice acting, it makes repeating the same lines not as painful as in other series where I just repeatedly click the skip button. I look forward to discovering the whole story.

((Also, I must add a huge appreciation to the way Lu was written. The way he's depressingly not caring about his life while trying not make a deal out of it, and trying to get as less attention that he can get is a very good representation of an actual person who has problems with themselves. I don't know much about him yet, that's the impression I've got by the time he actually lived, but those are my thoughts so far. I was really, really amazed by it.))

Thank you so much! I'm happy you like the voice acting and art. Yep, there are a lot of different combinations on who lives and who dies. I hope you have a good time finding a conclusion that's happier than the one you initially got.

It's really nice to know that you think Lu was well done . We certainly wanted to do right in the way we presented that kind of difficult subject.

This game is so good! I love that the game asks all of these morally gray  questions with no right answers! The plot, characters, and atmosphere are insane! I can't wait to play more!

(-1)

Thank you for making a let's play of the game! And I'm really glad you're enjoying it so far :D

(1 edit)

Yeah I'm not too much for horror, and I'd probably not have played it if I had seen this genre mentionded in the description *before* I'd seen the Guide's artwork and was bewitched by the light and shadow in his protrait. xD

I love d this one mostly because the storytelling doesn't focus too much on the horror element, it doesn't feel like gratuitous jump scares: the reason behind it makes sence and the dark places of the word turn up morally ambiguous in a way that no one is really to blame. Two of the endings give hope by showing good will in the shadiest of characters' Despite of the sad realisations, this makes the whole experience a bit uplifting in the end. Just like the mesmerizing light the Guide's sprite carries about himself.  X,]

Thanks for this experience!

Haha, thank you so much! I'm glad the Guide was intriguing for you and that you were able to enjoy the experience even though you don't normally play horror.

I loved this game so much, the storyline was amazing and the character development was so good! I'm just stuck on getting one of the CGs which is the CG on the top left corner on the 4th page. I've been trying everything to get it but I honestly don't know what to do. Could you help? Other than that, this game was really good overall and it was really enjoyable to play!

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Off the top of my head I believe you get that CG by romancing Bemelle, saving Lu, and then on the island spending time alone with just Bemelle (so you get the CG where he's holding his sword). Keep playing through and you should get it before the start of the second night.

If that's not it let me know. I wasn't able to check the game itself because I have to leave the house right now, aha, Good luck!

Thank you so much for your help, I managed to the get the CG really quickly and the art was beautiful! I can't wait to see what other games you'll release.  (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

No problem! I'm glad I remembered it right, haha. Thank you. I hope you'll enjoy our future releases ^^

(1 edit)

I loved this vn from start to finish!Kikka was adorable and different from most generic vn protagonists. But,by far my favourite character was Lu!I had to watch him die so many times that when i got the ending he survived in i literally started laughing like an idiot lol!And the music was just perfect to set the atmosphere this game wanted to achieve. But anyway,i just wanted to say how much i love this game and i'm looking forward to your future projects!

Thank you very much for all the kind words <3! Haha, congrats on saving Lu. He sure is a difficult one.

The storytelling and the meaning of the lake maze to each characters' problems,  the atmosphere of thrill, the voice cast which fit to their representation, and of course the beautiful gallery accompanied by sublime piano play : I can't ask more from this magnificent vn (which break my heart especially in Lu's route)  (T^T)b

Thank you very much :D! We did aim for the story to have more meaning than just a walk across the lake and I'm glad you appreciated that. I'm sorry Lu broke your heart, though, haha. He's a difficult one.

An excellent game! I, admittedly, have not played through all there is, and I haven't gotten all the endings. But that even makes me more thrilled I found this game-it's so soul-shatteringly good! I really wanted to save everyone, but of course that's not really possible (that I know of).

I really liked the art. It was so well done, I just had to keep staring at it.  The CG where Kikka is standing behind flames is my favorite, I would have to say. Kikka is actually one of my favorites! I really liked her, and felt bad whenever I got her killed. I especially liked the way light, lamp or fire, was done in the art.

I thought Lu would be sort of irritating, because before playing the game I thought he'd be the annoying loser who gets everyone else killed, but after getting his endings, I like him a lot! Bemelle would have to be my second favorite, though, because I really like that kind of character.

I hope you will create some more games, as I really liked this one!

(+1)

Thank you so much for all the kind words ^^! Haha, it's nice to hear that Luey grew on you. He certainly doesn't give the best first impression. I hope you enjoy the rest of the endings.

I think I hit a bizarre bug.

Quick overview of my choices: flirting with Bell at the start, saved him, margaret died the first night, took Lu in. Shifted to trying to romance Lu the moment he arrives. Get the shell scene, which can lead into Lu dying and taking me to an actual ending (a not very happy one) with the affection choice.

Or, I can pick the say nothing option, wait out the timer, have the guide hurt, fight through, and then....nothing. It gets to the Guide saying "We need to start walking, we already lost enough time as it is." and bam, I'm brought to the main menu. Everything just stops there.

Yeah, that does sound strange. Perhaps try selecting 'Watch' instead of letting the timer run out. With Lu, letting the time run out on that choice can go two ways; taking you to the same result as the Watch choice or taking you to a totally different result. Maybe partially romancing him caused confusion. I'm sorry for the trouble!

I can't decide whether I love or hate this game.

On the one hand it's such a gorgeous game, a thought-provoking and haunting story with beautiful writing and characters that feel real. I never listen to voice-acting or use autoplay, but I did with this VN because the voices were so well done. On the other hand it's 3 am, I've been playing this all day, I've consulted the romance tip sheet, and I'm still missing three CGs, two bonus scenes, and Lu keeps dying just when I think he's safe. Please help, I'm about to throw a tantrum.

Seriously though, I love everything about this game. The art style is so beautiful that at times I had to stop and just stare at the characters' faces or examine a background more closely. The story was complex and brought in so many different themes of fulfilment, sacrifice and love, plus the amazing voice-acting made me feel like I was watching a movie. I love all the characters (although I have to admit I have a soft spot for Bemelle, my sweet stupid sad child) and it broke my heart every time I had to see any of them die. Which was a lot of times.

Anyway. I know you guys only just finished this game but I really look forward to seeing what you make next. I know that with such a talented team behind it, any game you create will be phenomenal.

And uh, no pressure, but if you feel like releasing a walkthrough before I smash my head through a wall, I'll love you forever.

(1 edit)

Aaw, thank you so much! That's all super sweet and just wonderful to hear. I'll make this comment quick for now so you don't have to wait for a walkthrough, haha. Lu is by far the hardest to save, but there is a way to do it as long as you get on the right story branch and don't ever stop until it's truly over.

To get on the needed storyline for Lu you'll naturally have to romance him. Stay with him as much as possible and always say the things that make him feel better. You have to let Margret or Bemelle die, but you can't let both of them die. Then when you're on the shore at the start of the second night, the romance tip says you 'can' help the guide, but you don't 'have' to like it says in the Margret tips. Instead of helping or not helping, you can do nothing by letting the time run out. That will open up a different storyline. There are new ways for Lu to die, but one way to finally save his skin. Good luck! If you need more advice, just let me know :D.

... Ohhhhhhh. That makes so much sense, thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to help haha!

Haha, no problem!

I've played at least one of the endings, and I'm excited to say that I will definitely be playing more. The art and the voice acting is excellent! Good job!

Thank you so much for making a let's play of the game ^^! It's great to hear that you enjoyed it so far. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in your playthrough next.

(1 edit)

I was so excited to play this game after the demo, and now that I finally got to I must say that it was such an incredible game!

I loved the dark atmosphere and the story and characters were really interesting. The voice acting was a great addition, it made the game even more immersive. The art was also beautifully made, and the bonus events were great lmao

I especially enjoyed how tricky it was to find all the endings (tho I still need to play more since I'm missing 2 CGs), there were so many variations that left me quite surprised. Lu's route was probably my favorite, he's my soft boi <333

Thank you for making this amazing game guys. I also loved your other games, like XOXO Droplets, and I was really surprised to see Lake of Voices came from the same creators. Y'all are so talented, creative and versatile, looking forward to your future releases :)

Thank you for saying so many nice things <3! I'm really happy that the game lived up to expectations. Lu is a precious bby. Good luck finding the last two CGs! If you need any advice on where you might find them, feel free to ask :>.

Haha, and glad you also like XOD. It's nice to do different types of stories.

I finally managed to find them all, I had a lot of fun~ Thank you for being so nice and making these great games, keep up the good work :)

Congrats on getting everything ^^!

Just uploaded my playthrough of the demo version of this game:

I will be making more videos of the full release soon... ;-;

I can feel the feels getting to me already... lol

I love how polished the game is! The  writing, soundtrack and voice acting are superb as well and contributes a lot to the overall eerie atmosphere.

I hope you guys don't mind my asking but for some odd reason, I can't skip through read text whenever I start a new game from scratch. I can skip through read text in other save files just fine but not for all, specifically for save files I made during the first night.  I was wondering if there was a way around this?

Thank you! It's really nice to hear that.

I admit, I don't know. The skipping option is a standard feature of the engine we use, Ren'Py. It wasn't something we added, so I don't know exactly how it works. Maybe try deleting those not-properly-working saves (hovering the slot and hitting the delete key) and creating new ones?

Also, sometimes there are repetitious scenes that seem like something you've already gotten and should be able to skip through, but they are slightly different and so can't be skipped. There's nothing that can be done about that one, I'm afraid.

Good luck and I'm sorry for the inconvenience!

It's alright! I just reread them anyway because I genuinely enjoyed the writing. I've only got one route (?) done so far with Lu's end that reveals the truth. And gosh darn I enjoyed every last bit of it!!! The characters I thought I'd come to like the least upon my first initial impression of them ended up being my favourite characters. GOD. I LOVE MARGRET AND LU SO MUCH. ;; I have to admit that Margret rubbed me the wrong way at first but after several playthroughs I grew to love her so damn much. I love Margret. I can't wait to start on her route!

That being said, the best character (so far at least) imo is Kikka. I'm sorry but Kikka is my best girl in this entire game. If you threw me a game that featured only romancing Kikka then I will gladly buy it over my dead body. She's just so strong, kind, and compassionate, especially  in Lu's end where faced with those kind of choices, she just??? Sorry. I'm just overflowing with so much love and appreciation for Kikka too much right now.

Anyways, this is a really really great game! Thank you so much for making this and sharing it to the world! You guys did a really great job!

That's great! Haha, I'm glad those characters were able to grow on you. And it's really nice that you like the MC ^^. I appreciate all the kind words and hope you'll enjoy Margret's route!

A really good game, the art and the story was just stunning, I really loved Lu, my god, Lu's road made me cry so much, his story was by far my favorite, and the bonus story really xD ! No complaints, it was a very good game

Thank you very much ^^! I'm so glad you feel that way about it. Lu's path is certainly a difficult one, haha. It's great you were able to find the end of it!

You guys did such a good job on this game! I just couldn't stop myself from replaying this game over and over again. Especially because I wanted to get a Guide related ending. Well I got the ending.. and will probably never recover from it lol. But in all seriousness though I really loved every second of playing LoV. Such good writing!! Keep up the great work :)

Thank you very much :D! Haha, I'm sorry the guide's route is somewhat... unfortunate. I'm glad you enjoyed the game, though.

It's a wonderful game that I loved from start to finish. You all did amazing on this project ♥♥

Thank you so much <3!
