Create the protagonist of your story:
Pick a first name, last name, honorifics, and have a nickname, too. Use any pronouns you prefer, including using multiple types and implementing your own set. While you’ll be able to decide how fond you are of everyone in your life, there are two people you’ll meet whose connection to you will go deeper than all the rest: Qiu and Tamarack. Each one the same age as you and both living right next door.
Qiu “Autumn” Lin:
A true Golden Grove local, born and raised. Qiu is the kid to know in that town. The most popular, the most charming, until it all becomes too much. There’s a point where a coldness comes over Qiu and they shut out all except a few people. However, the rain doesn’t fall forever, and sadness can heal with real support. The day comes when Qiu is able to shine again, even brighter than before.
In Autumn you will find a thoughtful individual who just needs some time to embrace the person they’ve always known they were. Qiu was assigned male at birth, but comes out as genderfluid (they/he) partway through the story.
Tamarack Baumann:
A fellow newcomer, Tamarack moved in only about a week before you did. She’s a darling joy to those who get to have her company. And like the forests she loves so much, Tamarack is always changing in big and small ways. That isn’t always for the better. She’s surrounded by wrong branches, leading her down paths that only cause hurt. Yet despite all the pricks and snags on her path, the heart always remains the same.
With Tamarack you’ll see a kind miss who has a lot to learn about herself, but will never stop trying to find her way. Tamarack is a woman who only ever uses she/her pronouns.
[Qiu and Tamarack have more than one hairstyle they can end up with in the future.]
Build your life with them:

hey golden grovers how've y'all been doing? personally im not doing well because my anemia is back and worse! also im suffering from insomnia more than usual and my friend who is also my ex called me pookie and now the feelings are back and i hate it so much! but i got a good haircut and cookies so its kinda balances the bad out. :3
Usually when in doubt i eat the sweets out... don't know if it works the same with you, as for Insomnia well i can't help with something i face most days myself, and as for the Anemia i don't know how to deal with that i know how to deal with Immune System weakness because of a certain med i used to take tho, sorry if i couldn't be helpful enough

I feel like she would make good friends with Alios if they were friends somehow? They have a lot in common! Alios also often feels out of place like they're not even in the same world as others. They're quiet and tends to watch things happen, but unlike her, they're confident and content with themselves as a kid. I wish I could share my character with you guys but I can't so here's her description her mom(Ghanaian) wanted to marry a south Korean guy had a kid and took of back to Ghana never to come back so current mom(omma) hasn't told her yet. Nana yi likes to be called Nana or nan she has severe anxiety and wants to make friends with everyone but her voice refuses to speak out and due to her immense love of reading and believing in first sight she falls in love with qiu
when she first meets him considering him the prettiest person she's ever met. She writes stories that she shares with tamarack who she's very friendly with and wants to share her stories with qiu as well as be his best friend .
I will try to give a sketch of my character I hope you like my description I like writing too so I wanted to share that with my character

I love the game and can't wait for it to all come out! I have had several bisexual panics and I love it! However something I feel it would be interesting to have in is "One-Sided-Love" on Qiu and Tammy, and maybe it could develop from jealous over since that usually means they have one-sided love! The background music is so nostalgic, that I nearly cried because it sounds like the credit music for everything. My MC, Amaris is very much in love with both (Although I haven't put them in crushing yet) [I got the One-Sided-Love from the song "In Love With Someone" by Prabal and Maika]

(also if anyone is confused how he got so many piercings at 14 ... in my country you can get piercings from the age of 12 - 16 WITH permission of a parent/guardian in the form of a signature, and as i perceived it, opal is quite the busy gyal, so i'd like to think bcs of that she learned kojo how to forge her signature for school trips 'nd such, so she wasn't really surprised when one day kojo came home with piercings 'cause actions have consequences ya know ... )

so i imagine that kojo got his phone case from tammy as a gift 4 getting a phone, and despite having a completely different colour pallete in regards to clothes, he treasures it like it's his first-born son 💗💗 also he's still a big ass loser and can't confess to qiu (he will EVENTUALLY tho dw 😼)

(mostly love songs abt qiu bcs he's a loser 😋😋)
