Create the protagonist of your story:
Pick a first name, last name, honorifics, and have a nickname, too. Use any pronouns you prefer, including using multiple types and implementing your own set. Express your personality and preferences through hundreds of choices, then see those traits reflected in the story as people remember who you are. Focus on only one of the leads or be fond of both, including the option for a polyamorous relationship. And how you feel towards the people in your life is what determines your closeness. While you’ll be able to decide how fond you are of everyone in your life, there are two people you’ll meet whose connection to you will go deeper than all the rest: Qiu and Tamarack. Each one the same age as you and both living right next door.
Qiu “Autumn” Lin:
A true Golden Grove local, born and raised. Qiu is the kid to know in that town. The most popular, the most charming, until it all becomes too much. There’s a point where a coldness comes over Qiu and they shut out all except a few people. However, the rain doesn’t fall forever, and sadness can heal with real support. The day comes when Qiu is able to shine again, even brighter than before.
In Autumn you will find a thoughtful individual who just needs some time to embrace the person they’ve always known they were. Qiu was assigned male at birth, but comes out as genderfluid (they/he) partway through the story.
Tamarack Baumann:
A fellow newcomer, Tamarack moved in only about a week before you did. She’s a darling joy to those who get to have her company. And like the forests she loves so much, Tamarack is always changing in big and small ways. That isn’t always for the better. She’s surrounded by wrong branches, leading her down paths that only cause hurt. Yet despite all the pricks and snags on her path, the heart always remains the same.
With Tamarack you’ll see a kind miss who has a lot to learn about herself, but will never stop trying to find her way. Tamarack is a woman who only ever uses she/her pronouns.
[Qiu and Tamarack have more than one hairstyle they can end up with in the future.]
Build your life with them:
Set your unique "dynamic meters" that broadly describe how you behave towards one of the leads, keeping them consistent or switching that around as you grow up. Qiu's and Tamarack's dynamic towards you will develop in a custom way over the years based on who you are and what happens.
A romance with Qiu or Tamarack can develop as love at first sight, a longtime platonic closeness turning into last-minute confessions, a slow and gradual growth of affection that started at nothing, or anything in between.
Friendships form in just as many varied ways, ranging from immediate connections to hard-earned fondness, from casual company to irreplaceable family, and more. What you have together is complex with history and detail, yet still as natural as the leaves changing colors in the fall.

GOOD EVENING, PEOPLE!!! (or morning) 🥳🥳 i've been on an art streak this week with my mcs and couldnt resist drawing them in cute clothes.... so that's got me wondering with a MC question....
What is your MC's fashion style / what kind of clothes do they wear?
blythe wears a lot of cyber street, soft grunge, and loose streetwear stuff. a lot of loose-fitting stuff, hoodies, warm or neutral colours (e.g. grey, green, red).
jaehwa would dress like the average mom in their early 30s 😂✌💔 a lotta long, modest dresses, turtlenecks, and LONGGG trench coats, usually in black, brown, or beige. also some old preppy stuff in navy blue or red.
ivory (my redhead oc) is sort of a modernized mori kei? just some cute stuff you'd see a shoujo girl wearing lowkey, either a LOT of soft colors or some earthy tones. lucille (blondie) highkey just looks good in everything and canonically wears anything so she's my victim for art now.

Andi's childhood step 1 fashion style is 'chosen by mom', Andi as a 10 years old absolutely doesn't have a clear fashion sense preference as her mind only cares about play, school, and the new people she's meeting in Golden Grove. so I like to think that Opal would be the one picking her outfits lol
As she gets older she begins wearing feminine clothes, experimenting with cute and elegant style, before eventually opting as an adult for elegant/ semi-professional wear, blazers, shirts, ties, elegant skirts, high heels as well as incorporating her favorite colors, blue and purple into her fashion style.
Though she'd avoid dressing in pink shades because she wouldn't want to look too 'bubblegum-themed', given her pink hair.
Well.... for Sasha in step 1 she loved skirts and dresses A LOT while in step 2 she discovered gyaru you know the Japanese fashion subculture, so she became one. her style is basically kogal but not the shibuya kind, the hime gyaru kind you the know the cute aesthetic i guess??
in step 3 she became full on hime gyaru like light pink clothes, huge bows and etc.!!
She was supposed to be coquette but i changed my mind because the style doesn't fit her personality.
In step one, Timothy tends to wear fluffy clothing or anything that felt soft to touch in cold weather 🐑 he had a habit on fiddling either a cottonball or a faux fur as a kid
In step two, Timothy's punk style moved on and evolved to grunge style now. It kind of fits the autumn aesthetic with rock/rebel core! 🎸 But that was his usual days. For weekends, Timothy is still testing other styles in secret 👀
Hmm that's a though question but I like to think that Izzy would wear soft punk types of clothes. It suits her after all lol

I mean... if two of these are set in two of the four seasons (summer and autumn), is it possible that spring and winter will have their own "Our Life"? Sure
Andi uses she/her pronouns in every step, out of the cul-de-sac kids, she's the shyest, polite, and overwhelmed by Tamarack and Qiu strong personalities 'at first' although she warms up to them easily.
She's also a straight A student and completely invested academically. She wouldn't break rules at school or otherwise because the thing she dreads the most is adult disapproval.
She also has quite a warm relationship with her mom and her relationship with her in all steps would be positive, her love for her mother comes in the form of worrying about her feelings moving into the new cul-de-sac and wanting to take off some responsibilities from her like house work etc ...
In step 2, her social struggles appear as she becomes more shy, as a kid, friendships were easy to make. As a teen, she struggles in the environment of fellow teenagers and making new connections outside of friendships she already solidified, like with Tamarack and Qiu.
She is also interested in novels, literature. Aiming to become a fantasy novelist in the future.
Whether she ends up with Qiu or Tamarack is depended on the file, I want to try the routes of both and would create a file choosing each one for her. Especially since I find both of them interesting and I think she has a cute dynamic with both.

i got a problem, my old laptop broke and i yet to get it fix so it had everything on it like my loads and i got a new computer and i dont know how to get back where i was because i dont want to play the whole game over again so yeh
i think if you just redownload it on ur new computer, it should be there? if u havent tried yet lols
Sorry about your laptop! If you can somehow get access to the old files, you can transfer your save data to any number of new computers. But if you can't get access to anything on that old computer, then unfortunately there isn't another way of getting it back.
Hey do you guys plan to add ASL options for all the spoken options? I have a fully mute character and while I love the options that are fully silent, I wish I could use the speech options without it breaking caninity of my OC. And if there are some already in the game, how do I tell?
That would be so good, either an option that let's us alter our options to say: you sign "thing said to them here" or a text edit that replaces certain interactions with more ASL style options.
I'm mute fairly often and always head canon it as signing or using my phone text to speech in place of talking.
Hello! Unfortunately we wouldn't be able to implement anything for ASL specifically. It would be too many choices to include verbal, non-verbal, and ASL responses for each of the many choices made throughout the game. Sorry about that, but we appreciate such a thoughtful suggestion. Guys pls help im stupid, how do you download/play this game on android? It comes out as a .bin file and i have genuinely no clue how to open that??😭😭i tried using the first free bin file opener i could file but nothing happens after i try uploading the file...
On another note, ive also installed this game on my mac, but the renpy sync just DOESNT work for me. My original device is a windows pc, and whenever i try inputting a renpy sync code into the mac, the game just crashes.
Sorry you're having issues! I have a couple of suggestions that might help. Firstly, you can try directly renaming the .bin file to be .apk instead, which is the file format it is supposed to be. Step 1: Writing Tamarack's thoughts is cheesy haha I never had experience writing romance. Especially how direct she can be that adds up the cheesy-ness, so I added her second line to balance it off lol. Also, we love some Qiu's unrequited love >:)
I prefer to focus Tim and Tam's romance in step 2 since it's more interesting than Timmy and Tam's fluff romance in step 1. Timothy and Tamarack have gotten more aware of their own feelings, especially how different they used to treat each other in step 1. In response, Timothy felt like he only spent time with Tamarack when they were ten and not getting to know her deeply enough for four years. Especially how Timothy kept the problems to himself from Tamarack! He needs to realize he has to trust her more </3

Baxman Baxter?! That is cute not gonna lie. I also added Izzy relationship chart down below<3. It took me quite awhile to finish lol.
For step 1 I feel that Baxter is definitely confused on what he is feeling and on how to treat Izzy and it wasn't until years passed that he finally understood his own emotions and that he actually likes her but felt that she deserves better than him.
Izzy and Baxter will be the death of me 😩💔 and the fact Qiu still has a crush on Izzy in step 2! Oh the angst >:)

Hehe thank you, I had fun with the one with Vianca lol! He does identify himself as male but he's intersex! He was often assumed as female at first meeting/glance because of his voice and appearance. Just to note, I'm not an intersex person myself (cis) so I was only reading an intersex person's experiences
This is mine don't have step two done because on this slot i haven't gotten there so i haven't changed my character
Seb is neurodivergent so he really likes the bands that he listens to and the shows that he watches To the point of learning how to make music and animate. He also can't pick up on social ques very well and can't tell when he's making someone uncomfortable(especially Darren). He's also just a massive cluts and falls down a lot. (I'll post a step 2 one to when I get to it on this save)

My relationship chart for my MC Sahil who is somewhat based off myself as a kid but slightly less hesitant to get into trouble or talk back to people, and way less anxious.
Step 1: Sahil is pretty shy and unsure about the people around him. Except for Tamarack who he constantly follows around with hearts in his eyes wherever she goes. Most people are also unsure around him cause he doesn't talk much and looks quite fragile and clumsy, but once they start interacting with him, he shows more of his personality and turns out to be a pretty witty and opinionated child, as well as a rulebreaker despite his meek exterior. Its never the ones you expect.
Step 2: In the years between steps, Sahil has exited his shell and become a bit more talkative. He is a lot more openly witty, using deadpan humor and sarcasm to counter people's rudeness. He has a lot lower tolerance for annoying people. He also swears like a sailor, he learned it online. He is a bit overly protective and jealous over Tamarack, but doesn't realize Tamarack is also jealous over him hanging out with Qiu. He also doesn't really let her in on any of his problems to keep her from getting worried about him. Sahil is one of the few people who can hang around Qiu and even openly tease them or call them out on being dramatic even when they're in a bad mood. Qiu has kinda taken this as a sign to start rage baiting Sahil. Sahil has strangely gained a decent amount of popularity through the town from just being around Qiu without getting him pissed off. This kind of annoys him because people keep approaching him to ask for advice or carry messages to Qiu. Vianca is like his mortal enemy simply because she constantly ignores him and interrupts his conversations with Tamarack and making her anxious. Vianca barely knows who he is, but dislikes him because he's always with Tamarack.
Helloooo my mc is still in development, i have an entire google doc and everything (im so hyper fixated) i just don't have access to the game atm 😭 so i cant do their descriptors, or character thing but i saw someone do a relationship chart and i thought it would be fun to do that (ill update with their character when i get access to the game)

Yeah i have nothing much to say other than that Qiu and Tamarack arguing makes me sad and that Baxter actually cares in his own kinda way. Also why is background so hard? I actually gave up trying to draw the background and just used some of the background cg from the game lol
