This is a question that’s been on my mind recently. Why is everyone so in love with Qiu? I like tamarack more personally, but I wanna get everyone’s opinion on Qiu since it seems they’re the favorite neighbor
hmm for me i think its cuz they're more open than tamarack? like more social and more engaged somehow? cant really word it correctly but tamarack just seems more reserved, also qiu's personality is more like mine so thats why i liked them, still love tamarack tho <33
i think qiu's appeal to most people is that they're just generally more charming in a way. like the previous comment said, it helps that they're open. qiu is naturally a doting person in step 1 who'll go out of their way to look out for the mc in several occasions (at least from my game experience). they'll actively seek you out and look out for you – inviting you to walk to school together, inviting you to join the boys' club, and even more depending on certain dialogue options. i think having the chance to be doted on is comforting to most, and that being qiu's default would ultimately turn them into a fan favorite rather quickly.
I guess a big part is that Tamarack is the kind of person that I would just vibe with introvert style and Qiu is the kind of person who would "adopt" me extrovert style

Well, a good game on the one hand and on the other hand no, I can give you 10/10, but because the majority of the characters are semi-soft and there is no option to enable them to change their appearance, I will give you 10/5, other than that, it is a beautiful game in terms of dialogues and choices (despite the majority of options It is not clearly available to create your character, but that's okay.) Also, I wanted to know what would happen after the introduction of secondary characters. Things could have been made more interesting, but there is another thing that made me drop an evaluation, which is making my character, whether female or male, love a character of the same gender. This made me angry on the other hand, so I rate your game overall 3/10. I hope my review does not offend you. Your game is a masterpiece and you are clearly tired of drawing and some dialogue, but this does not mean that you should support Shadooz directly in this way, especially for characters who are 10 years old.
I think i can sort of make out what you're tryna say, but you might wanna re-write or just edit your review, if i got right what i think your review is about, it's highly misleading, with rewrite i don't mean to force you into giving it a better grade, just be more clear about your points.

Soft characters, this is annoying. I don't mind characters being conceited or having long, soft hair, but the problem with male characters is when they are soft to the point of being uncomfortable.
Some people have a personality or a reason to be softer or more sensitive, for example I am a fairly soft, sensitive person and although I am a man, some of us can have those attitudes or we already acted like that when we were children and that is not strange, it can Whether he is right or not, but if there are soft people and their gender, it doesn't have to be important (I don't want to get into the issue that a man must be rough and blah blah blah).

It's okay, I accept all my opinions, only what I want to clarify (it is not good to put 10-year-old characters having love relationships, even though you explained that in a childish way, but this encourages children to build a love relationship at a very early age, and you currently know what... It happens in America. The matter is related to the mentality of children and nothing else. If they were given a choice when they were 18 or older, it would be logical, but at the age of 10, this makes children... They see the issue that it is natural to build love relationships from a young age instead of focusing on understanding the feelings of others and how to deal with them honestly.)
As for soft characters, I mean that it adds an option that allows us to change main characters. It is not a requirement to change dialogue, just change appearance with a change in his characteristics, such as his speech not being too soft. My question is; why play this game in the first place if all of that makes you uncomfortable?
It's very clearly stated in the description of the game that you, as the player, can customize things like pronouns. If that kind of thing makes you uncomfortable/you don't like it, why play the game? I mean, the description of the game literally tells you that one of the main characters is nonbinary, which again, why would you play the game if that kind of thing upsets you?
Plus, all of the things you are upset about are normal things. Children/pre-teens/young teens having crushes on others in their age group is a completely normal and common experience. Plenty of men/male-people have soft personalities. Non-heterosexual people are everywhere and have existed for a while, same with non-cisgender/nonbinary people.
Having said all of that, you are allowed to have your own opinions. You are allowed to think children having crushes on other children is weird, you're allowed to think men/male people behaving in a "soft"manner is weird, and you're allowed to think the existence of queer people is weird. I'm not trying to change your opinions on any of these matters, just trying to explain.
Restating my question, why play the game in the first place if it contains multiple factors that will upset you? I understand having critiques for a game but it seems a little redundant to play and critique a game knowing there are numerous components to the game that you find uninteresting and uncomfortable. That makes you biased and therefor, not the most reliable critic.

I think having crushes at a young age is a normal thing, I myself developed my first crush around the same age as the characters in the beginning of the game, and even then, the crushing aspect is not forced upon you!!
What I'm trying to say is, leave the responsibility to the parents. Your opinion is perfectly valid, but it's also just that - your own opinion!
I'm not trying to say you shouldn't have mentioned it, but seeing as it was listed as an otome game, and multiple of the aspects you were criticizing were mentioned in the description, it is mostly your fault for being uncomfortable with these aspects if you didn't take the time to read about what the game is.

Again, still a girl failure lesbian... She's still the same as she was when she was 10... But with a bit more of an angrier facade instead of an 'everything is fine' facade. She still acts her same old self with Tamarack, Qiu and her mother. And only is her 'true' self alone (I swear she's not me)
No, she hates cinnamon crunch, because she's autistic (like me, but I swear she isn't me) she's very particular with her cereal, plus she has to eat cereal fast because she doesn't like it too soggy or too dry. And it depends on what cinnamon is on, but it can't be too much of it.
im usually not that big into visual novels but this is actually so cool. the art is amazing and its super impressive how almost every choice you make changes the story

i love step 2 qiu's design, the hair is amazing, love the earings, and i never thought of qiu as a choker wearing type of person, yet they pulled it off so well
Meet Elias, he's a little guy who doesn't really trust other kids due to him being bullied at his previous school for being thin and short.. He's usually reserved and a bit sultry in general but he's pretty nice if you manage to get past that.
For Elias, Tamarack is a 'they're so annoying but i still somehow like them' kind of friend and Qiu is a 'I love you and will actively show favoritism to you' kind of friend (he has a crush on them)

Also i guess it's time to admit that you are definitely more popular than me on the N&F page so, i declare i give up, val has won the( quite possibly one sided) rivalry, id say it was a close match but it was not at all.
I thought it was a joke and I simply commented as I normally would, although at the end of November I was not active since the amount of people there was overwhelming.
Her mother saw new opportunities in Golden Grove and decided to live there for a better life. Maddie has moved a lot in her life, so she got used to moving around. After moving to Golden Grove, she met Qiu and Tamarack. Initially, she didn't care to become friends with them, but later became best friends with them because of spending time with them for so long.
Fun fact: Maddie has a much stronger connection with animals than with humans because animals don't judge about what you think or say. This made her have an obsession with nature and wildlife.
Maddie only talks casually to people she feels comfortable with. While alone she acts (or with someone she trusts) she acts more herself.
Maddie has an extremely quiet personality, consistent with her appearance of looking like a mannequin. Many describe her as beautiful yet uncanny, as she was born with skin as white as paper, sharp facial features, paranoid eyes, long white hair, and very tall. Her appearance brought a lot of unwanted attention to her. Despite all that she was still the best hide-and-seek player known to man.
This led her to become very clingy to Qiu and Tamarack. She was especially clingy to Qiu, as they were popular too and she wanted to learn how to navigate popularity. Aside from this, she felt distant from them because she cared about how people thought of her while Qiu did not. Qiu gave up trying to please everyone, as Maddie hadn't done so herself.
Due to school stress, Maddie would lie to her mother to rebel against her. Lying about after school clubs and having after school tutoring. With having extra free time, she would hang out with Qiu on the days they skip their ballet classes or hangout in the forest. Maddie would remove all her frustration in the forest, shedding all her outer clothes and only wear her inner clothes which are tank top, and some shorts. Throughout the forest, she walks barefoot, climbs trees, and swims in a nearby lake near the forest. She got used to the cold autumn weather at Gloden Grove and became resistant to poking twigs, sharp rocks that got between their feet, and the feeling of dirt.
Fun Fact: Maddie nicknamed Qiu xióng which means bear in Chinese, as he's always wearing a fuzzy jacket. Tamarack's nickname is Biene which means bee, because when Tamarack was child, she was a very 'busy bee' in Maddie definition.
Maddie only calls out Qiu and Tamarck with their nicknames (yes even in public). This is because she feels like she can talk freely to them.
Maddie will fight physically and emotionally for Tamarck and Qiu. As Maddie sees them very dear to her, and if something wrong ever happens to them she assumes the problem could lead Qiu or Tamarck to disappear from her. This could cause problems if the fights are physical. Despite her looks, Maddie is surprisingly strong, and she can fight well, but she lacks self-control when fighting. Resulting in many consequences for her.
Cute fun fact: Maddie unknowingly would get very close and snuggly with Qiu and Tamarck when by their side. Hugging them without any thought, grab hold of their clothing, leading on them, or rub her head against them when she has a lot of energy. This sometimes comes off as teasing or flirting to many.
(IDK why I did this, but it was fun to write out my character in the game.)

I mean, the description of the game literally tells you that one of the main characters is nonbinary, which again, why would you play the game if that kind of thing upsets you?
Plus, all of the things you are upset about are normal things. Children/pre-teens/young teens having crushes on others in their age group is a completely normal and common experience. Plenty of men/male-people have soft personalities. Non-heterosexual people are everywhere and have existed for a while, same with non-cisgender/nonbinary people.
Having said all of that, you are allowed to have your own opinions. You are allowed to think children having crushes on other children is weird, you're allowed to think men/male people behaving in a "soft"manner is weird, and you're allowed to think the existence of queer people is weird. I'm not trying to change your opinions on any of these matters, just trying to explain.
Restating my question, why play the game in the first place if it contains multiple factors that will upset you? I understand having critiques for a game but it seems a little redundant to play and critique a game knowing there are numerous components to the game that you find uninteresting and uncomfortable. That makes you biased and therefor, not the most reliable critic.
Additionally, your "critiques" aren't really critiques, you are just stating the things about the game that made you uncomfortable/angry.
So for a third time I will ask; Why play the game if you know there are multiple things in the game that you won't like?

I think having crushes at a young age is a normal thing, I myself developed my first crush around the same age as the characters in the beginning of the game, and even then, the crushing aspect is not forced upon you!!
What I'm trying to say is, leave the responsibility to the parents. Your opinion is perfectly valid, but it's also just that - your own opinion!
I'm not trying to say you shouldn't have mentioned it, but seeing as it was listed as an otome game, and multiple of the aspects you were criticizing were mentioned in the description, it is mostly your fault for being uncomfortable with these aspects if you didn't take the time to read about what the game is.

Meet Elias, he's a little guy who doesn't really trust other kids due to him being bullied at his previous school for being thin and short.. He's usually reserved and a bit sultry in general but he's pretty nice if you manage to get past that.
For Elias, Tamarack is a 'they're so annoying but i still somehow like them' kind of friend and Qiu is a 'I love you and will actively show favoritism to you' kind of friend (he has a crush on them)

remember the post long ago when i told you i was disappointed at you for not knowing about the November update? Since then.
I thought it was a joke and I simply commented as I normally would, although at the end of November I was not active since the amount of people there was overwhelming.
Her mother saw new opportunities in Golden Grove and decided to live there for a better life. Maddie has moved a lot in her life, so she got used to moving around. After moving to Golden Grove, she met Qiu and Tamarack. Initially, she didn't care to become friends with them, but later became best friends with them because of spending time with them for so long.
Fun fact: Maddie has a much stronger connection with animals than with humans because animals don't judge about what you think or say. This made her have an obsession with nature and wildlife.
Maddie only talks casually to people she feels comfortable with. While alone she acts (or with someone she trusts) she acts more herself.
Maddie has an extremely quiet personality, consistent with her appearance of looking like a mannequin. Many describe her as beautiful yet uncanny, as she was born with skin as white as paper, sharp facial features, paranoid eyes, long white hair, and very tall. Her appearance brought a lot of unwanted attention to her. Despite all that she was still the best hide-and-seek player known to man.
This led her to become very clingy to Qiu and Tamarack. She was especially clingy to Qiu, as they were popular too and she wanted to learn how to navigate popularity. Aside from this, she felt distant from them because she cared about how people thought of her while Qiu did not. Qiu gave up trying to please everyone, as Maddie hadn't done so herself.
Due to school stress, Maddie would lie to her mother to rebel against her. Lying about after school clubs and having after school tutoring. With having extra free time, she would hang out with Qiu on the days they skip their ballet classes or hangout in the forest. Maddie would remove all her frustration in the forest, shedding all her outer clothes and only wear her inner clothes which are tank top, and some shorts. Throughout the forest, she walks barefoot, climbs trees, and swims in a nearby lake near the forest. She got used to the cold autumn weather at Gloden Grove and became resistant to poking twigs, sharp rocks that got between their feet, and the feeling of dirt.
Fun Fact: Maddie nicknamed Qiu xióng which means bear in Chinese, as he's always wearing a fuzzy jacket. Tamarack's nickname is Biene which means bee, because when Tamarack was child, she was a very 'busy bee' in Maddie definition.
Maddie only calls out Qiu and Tamarck with their nicknames (yes even in public). This is because she feels like she can talk freely to them.
Maddie will fight physically and emotionally for Tamarck and Qiu. As Maddie sees them very dear to her, and if something wrong ever happens to them she assumes the problem could lead Qiu or Tamarck to disappear from her. This could cause problems if the fights are physical. Despite her looks, Maddie is surprisingly strong, and she can fight well, but she lacks self-control when fighting. Resulting in many consequences for her.
Cute fun fact: Maddie unknowingly would get very close and snuggly with Qiu and Tamarck when by their side. Hugging them without any thought, grab hold of their clothing, leading on them, or rub her head against them when she has a lot of energy. This sometimes comes off as teasing or flirting to many.
