i fell in love with the ambience and tone and diversity of major characters, it feels really natural and not forced. what i love about N&F is the HUGE variety of dialogue options. i usually get frustrated by visual novels with barely any variety or flavour in dialogue options but the devs really ate with the dialogue. whoever is reading this, have a nice day!
Which flower reminds you of them at each step? For example, sunflowers remind me of step 1 Tama, daisies remind me of step 2 Qiu, and lavender reminds me of step 3 Qiu :D
okay so, step 1 tammy reminds me of a Coreopsis and a crocus vernus because of their meanings; always cheerful (both crocus vernus and coreopsis) /love at first sight (coreopsis). step 1 qiu reminds me of a crown’s imperial because of their colour scheme and their meaning; power and majesty/pride of birth. but also bird of paradise flowers because, y’know the drill, meanings. it represents liberty, magnificence, good perspective, joyfulness; faithfulness
step 2 tammy reminds me of dahlias because one, it’s a pretty flower, and once again the meaning !! it represents elegance and dignity but also abundance and instability. she also reminds me of a red daisy (beauty unknown to the possessor) ‘cause she seems kind of self conscious about her looks and just overall self 🙁🙁 step 2 qiu might remind me of a bog-rosemary which the meaning is ‘bound by fate; “will you help me?”’ considering they’re figuring themself out and all, but also a jacob’s ladder/greek valerian, because it is my favourite flower, and its meaning is ‘rupture’ which i think can allude to the action of qiu cutting off most of the people around them; a rupture in their relationships/circle.
for step 3 tams i think pink lilies would fit because pink lilies are pretty like her but they also stand for love, as well as femininity and adoration. Which fits tammy well, methinks. for step 3 qiu i think dandelions seem fit, one of the meanings is ‘overcoming hardships’ which personally is a perfect way to reference the difference in knowing their identity as of now and back in step 2.

Lavender flowers represent purity, silence, devotion, serenity, grace, and calmness, which I think would suit Autumn well, also purple goes well with their vibe in step 3, heh.

Seeing the comments gave me an idea to tell some things about my OL2 MC (Leonard).
(Step 1 Leonard)
(Step 2 Leonard - Hair down)
(Step 2 Leonard - Hair up)
A few things about Leonard:
I haven't thought of a good last name for him yet...
His appearance and name were inspired by another original character of mine.
He has russian heritage on his father's side (His father is russian).
He feels sad about not knowing his own father.
He has a huge crush on Tamarack.
He has several moles on his body.
His favorite drink is Root Beer.
Despite not really liking school, he is among the top 10 in the class.
In my Lore he was present for most, or all, of the OL1 Step 1 events before moving to Washington (still deciding).
He returns to Sunset Bird in Step 3 of OL1, just to visit the city.
Elizabeth was his closest friend in OL1 Step 1.
He is a good artist, preferring to paint in oil on canvas.
Baxter is his second closest friend in OL2 (Qiu is the first).
He cut his hair short and dyed it black at age 16.
He began studying russian at the age of 12 out of curiosity about his russian heritage.
He prefers skateboarding because he thinks it's cool.
At first he used bandages because he thought they were cool, later he used them for some injuries he got.
During the Wheels moment he fell during the race and injured his left hand, earning a scar.
Despite being hyperactive most of the time, he sometimes gets a little nervous around Tamarack.
He wears different earrings in step 2 because he ended up losing his left earring and so decided to put another one in its place.
In Step 2 of OL2 he tries to make Qiu and Tamarack become friends again because he doesn't want things to change in their trio.
He doesn't like change, he wants things to be the way they've always been. Adventuring in the woods with Tamarack, going out on the town with the boys' club. But at some point he will have to face it and learn that things change.
For my mc... yeah i dunno she hates bitterness but white chocolate is too sweet for her and for the other side well she like crunchiness + she doesnt appreciate mintyness from food + strawberry tastes weird in chocolate for her lol
clover got his nickname when he was around 7 when he found out that clovers (the plant) are also called trefoil, he was so proud of himself for learning that, he decided that will be his nickname. also fun fact when i was making Clover at first i wanted his nickname to be trifoilium (the scientific name for clovers) but i decided trefoil sounds better
I cannot wait for more, these games are so amazing, but must be hell to code. I loved Cove, I love Qui so far, and my best boy was here for a bit too(Baxter)
Sometimes Leonard asks Tamarack to pose for him to draw her because he finds her photogenic (It's not like he had a crush on her and wanted to draw her because he thought she was pretty-)

Runie would be a fighting type gym leader. I mean he literally has the same strength as the girl from Strong Girl Bong-soon 😭
he could carry everyones MC’s if he had longer arms tbh, he loves carrying people around or using them to bench press. Such a soft looking chipmunk ahh boy and then all of a sudden he can carry you on his shoulder without breaking a sweat LOL
His roster would be Blaziken, Primeape, Pangoro, Machamp and Hariyama, all bulky little dudes awueueu 🥹 (maybe lucario if he becomes and adult but he loves his buff bros alllaaattt)
Teeheeee~ So Maeve would probably be a fairy type Pokémon with some normal and psychic. their roster would be Pokémon she thinks are cute (though all of her Pokémon she thinks are cute) which is Hatterene, sylveon and Galarian Rabidash. She also sometimes uses miccino bc she thinks it’s an honorary fairy type (it’s not so she doesn’t use it for official battles) but her main is sylveon. Since their color scheme doesn’t match her Pokémon they dresses up to match the pokemons colors and than gives them accessories that match her own colors. She wants to be cutest gym leader.
and then Haruki would definitely be a grass type with some fighting here and there. Scyther, meowscarada, rillaboom would be his roster. His main is Shaymin but he doesn’t use them often because Shaymin is his precious little baby (all his Pokémon’s are his baby’s). He’s trying to be the toughest gym leader but is more the most tsundere gym leader.

so for valesor they would definitly dark and flying or dark and grass type, his team would be cacturne, shiftry, brute bonnet, meowscarada and finally zarude (mf thinks he's good with only 5 pokemon)
for emio she would choose a bunch of combinations of poison typings so her team would be drapion, overqwil, toxtricity-low key, galarian slowking, gengar and then her ace would come completely out of left field because its lunala
for mikor he's definetly choosing grass fighting types so his team would be breloom, chesnaught, hisuian lilligant, hisuian decidueye, scovillain (because one of his eyes are red) and for his ace galarian articuno, (I COULDNT FIND A PURPLE GRASS TYPE OTHER THAN CHERIM AND IM NOT HAVING THAT LITTLE PLANT BE HIS ACE LMFAO)
also i like to give my mc's 1 legendary so they can have a strong ace on their team but not be too overpowerd

okay so, step 1 tammy reminds me of a Coreopsis and a crocus vernus because of their meanings; always cheerful (both crocus vernus and coreopsis) /love at first sight (coreopsis). step 1 qiu reminds me of a crown’s imperial because of their colour scheme and their meaning; power and majesty/pride of birth. but also bird of paradise flowers because, y’know the drill, meanings. it represents liberty, magnificence, good perspective, joyfulness; faithfulness
step 2 tammy reminds me of dahlias because one, it’s a pretty flower, and once again the meaning !! it represents elegance and dignity but also abundance and instability. she also reminds me of a red daisy (beauty unknown to the possessor) ‘cause she seems kind of self conscious about her looks and just overall self 🙁🙁 step 2 qiu might remind me of a bog-rosemary which the meaning is ‘bound by fate; “will you help me?”’ considering they’re figuring themself out and all, but also a jacob’s ladder/greek valerian, because it is my favourite flower, and its meaning is ‘rupture’ which i think can allude to the action of qiu cutting off most of the people around them; a rupture in their relationships/circle.
for step 3 tams i think pink lilies would fit because pink lilies are pretty like her but they also stand for love, as well as femininity and adoration. Which fits tammy well, methinks. for step 3 qiu i think dandelions seem fit, one of the meanings is ‘overcoming hardships’ which personally is a perfect way to reference the difference in knowing their identity as of now and back in step 2.

Seeing the comments gave me an idea to tell some things about my OL2 MC (Leonard).

A few things about Leonard:
I haven't thought of a good last name for him yet...
His appearance and name were inspired by another original character of mine.
He has russian heritage on his father's side (His father is russian).
He feels sad about not knowing his own father.
He has a huge crush on Tamarack.
He has several moles on his body.
His favorite drink is Root Beer.
Despite not really liking school, he is among the top 10 in the class.
In my Lore he was present for most, or all, of the OL1 Step 1 events before moving to Washington (still deciding).
He returns to Sunset Bird in Step 3 of OL1, just to visit the city.
Elizabeth was his closest friend in OL1 Step 1.
He is a good artist, preferring to paint in oil on canvas.
Baxter is his second closest friend in OL2 (Qiu is the first).
He cut his hair short and dyed it black at age 16.
He began studying russian at the age of 12 out of curiosity about his russian heritage.
He prefers skateboarding because he thinks it's cool.
At first he used bandages because he thought they were cool, later he used them for some injuries he got.
During the Wheels moment he fell during the race and injured his left hand, earning a scar.
Despite being hyperactive most of the time, he sometimes gets a little nervous around Tamarack.
He wears different earrings in step 2 because he ended up losing his left earring and so decided to put another one in its place.
In Step 2 of OL2 he tries to make Qiu and Tamarack become friends again because he doesn't want things to change in their trio.
He doesn't like change, he wants things to be the way they've always been. Adventuring in the woods with Tamarack, going out on the town with the boys' club. But at some point he will have to face it and learn that things change.

clover got his nickname when he was around 7 when he found out that clovers (the plant) are also called trefoil, he was so proud of himself for learning that, he decided that will be his nickname. also fun fact when i was making Clover at first i wanted his nickname to be trifoilium (the scientific name for clovers) but i decided trefoil sounds better

Teeheeee~ So Maeve would probably be a fairy type Pokémon with some normal and psychic. their roster would be Pokémon she thinks are cute (though all of her Pokémon she thinks are cute) which is Hatterene, sylveon and Galarian Rabidash. She also sometimes uses miccino bc she thinks it’s an honorary fairy type (it’s not so she doesn’t use it for official battles) but her main is sylveon. Since their color scheme doesn’t match her Pokémon they dresses up to match the pokemons colors and than gives them accessories that match her own colors. She wants to be cutest gym leader.
and then Haruki would definitely be a grass type with some fighting here and there. Scyther, meowscarada, rillaboom would be his roster. His main is Shaymin but he doesn’t use them often because Shaymin is his precious little baby (all his Pokémon’s are his baby’s). He’s trying to be the toughest gym leader but is more the most tsundere gym leader.

for emio she would choose a bunch of combinations of poison typings so her team would be drapion, overqwil, toxtricity-low key, galarian slowking, gengar and then her ace would come completely out of left field because its lunala
