I love this game to bits but I have a question (or rather a request). Do you think you could make mute/deaf choice options? I'm not personally either, but I love playing around with different types of characters and was sad to find that it wasn't an option!
If I'm correct, the developer said that you can't be blind or specifically called mute even if you have chosen the non-verbal options. But It would be kinda cool to be mute or deaf.
First of all I wanna say that you make awesome games! I already read Our Life: Beginning & Always multiple times and bought every additional DC, they're great! I also fell in love with Our Life: Now & Forever as soon as i read the demo for the fist time. I am really excited for the updates! Do you know if there'll be additional DC's we can buy which give us the opportunity to date other characters, i.e. Darren? I really liked this concept in your ealier work and was wondering if there are any plans to add this option in this game too.
Came across an odd visual glitch where the artwork gets chopped up. Not sure if it's a problem on my end (maybe I didn't extract the files properly?) or something you guys would need to patch. At first it only happened with the introductory images for Qiu and Tamarack and the artwork of Tamarack's house (outside, front door), so I kind of just ignored it. But now it's happening to Tamarack's Step 2 model as a whole. Not game breaking (at least not from what I've seen), but figured you'd want to know.

Exactly, like OL1, this and The Arcana have me with the highest expectations for other Visual Novels. And I've been let down so much it's painful, but it makes me go back to these three at least

Loved the game when I played the demo! Sadly, the laptop I played it on broke and my new one can't run it. If you guys made a mobile version after everything was finished I would simply pass away.
I loved every second of the demo. The calm vibes it gives you, the excitement, the different options. I just love it so much. (And I apologize in advance for any spelling mistakes. English it's not my native language!)
Here's the things I most loved and appreciated of the game:
1— The music. I loved the music so far, it relaxed me the first time I played. And I loved the detail of being able to choose the music when you are in the main menu.
2— The background drawings and the little details and effecs; they're just... perfect! The small but beautiful details of falling leaves in the place where you meet Tamarack, the sun's rays, also the blurred effects. I love 'em. I just love them so much!
3— The MC customization, from the appearance to the pronouns. It is very cute and so good to make your MC to look like whatever you want. And being able to put your pronouns it's so good. And I really like the fact that you can have freckles, vitiligo, heterochromia and birthmarks! It's something I loved!
4— The multiple options. You can be from shy, to cheerful, quiet, unsociable or confident with the choices you select! And let the characters adjust through your opinions it's just so amazing. When I was playing like the shy gal, I loved the fact that the characters tried to be calm and slow down for me, or even help me. It's amazing.
5— The chibi of the characters when they're talking. They're so cute, and I love them so much. And the fact that the MC also can have that it's so cute.
6— The fact that some things about the appearance give an extra dialogue! When Tamarack notices that the MC has heterochromia or two colours on their hair or both it's cute! And when you use a bandage Qiu ask about it and looks worried— it's so lovely! And when you have a birthmark Baxter mentions it and gives you a compliment!
7— The development of the characters; Qiu questioning if they really identifies as the gender they were born with it's something that I loved the most. It makes me happy because I have some friends that were going through that situation. And the fact that they went from being a kid that was very welcoming at the beginning from being teenager who now doesn't care about being nice or welcoming with people it's amazing, and even relatable for some people.
And Tamarack; the girl who was extremely energetic, loud and loved being in the forest became a young lady who now was self-conscious of her looks and what impression she gives. (Or at least that it's what I see.) It's pretty relatable to me. When I was little I didn't care as much as I looked and I was more carefree, but now being a teenager I have become more and more self-conscious about myself and my appearance. And some other people maybe would feel like that.
8— Lastly, what I loved the most was Qiu, Darren and Tamarack. Qiu being welcoming, carefree and sweet with the MC was so, so lovely. This kid has my heart, really. The cool and welcoming kid that makes you feel better and comfortable. Darren, even though he hasn't been very welcoming and kind at the beginning, he's still cute. And Tamarack, the little girl with sparkling hair that it's sweet and energetic, I liked her. Even though she is a little intense, she's still sweet like a cookie.
And that's all what I can write! I would have written some more things, but it would be so much text to read. I loved this game. Thank you so much for creating this lovely game! :D
love the sheer density of this game. i was trying out the old gamepad to multiply my comfiness factor, and i found that some of the inputs are weird (pressing "A" while holding the analog to any side seems to open random menus, or maybe it's a unintuitive shortcut to menus?).
anyways I'd thought i would give you some feedback on that. great job on the game, It's really shaping up to be something special <3

If you say you use feminine terms than people will use feminine terms like "girl" for your character. If you only want to be called a boy, you wouldn't select the feminine option.
i love the demo even though i haven't finished playing it yet! will we be able to customize Qiu and Tamarack's appearances just like with Cove in the first Our life?
There will be more Step 2 scenes added to the demo eventually, but the entirety of Step 2 won't be available in a demo. You'll need to wait for the full game for that.
I don’t know if you know about this error and if you’re trying to fix it, but after some attempts to replay the game demo, some additional scene without a background pops up (only Tama and Autumn, stuck in each other, and dialog boxes, ahah) and then this message. the game doesn't crash or anything like that, it closes afterwards as if it were the normal end of the demo version. I just wanted to let you know about this.
new save! This error has appeared several times. The first time was when I played an unsociable child who didn’t like the idea of going for a walk with his neighbors and in “Moments” I selected the appropriate choice, but a message appeared that this would end the demo early and I canceled this action. Last time, I also first chose the option where the child does not go for a walk with the guys, and then canceled it. Perhaps this is somehow connected, but perhaps not, because the guys during the scene look like they are from "Step 2".
Ya'll are doing gods work with this game. I can tell that you actually care about the game and how fleshed out the characters are even in this snippet of step 1. Qiu has my whole heart. (and tamarack. and cove. lol)
I love this game and these characters with my whole being, always excited for updates! I lose interest in visual novels quickly sometimes, but I could stay immersed in this world for hours!! Great game can't wait for it to be fully released.
So if you ever let the discord server make something for OL2 (A line, A character, etc) and everyone in the discord server can participate (by votes and stuff), how well do think this will go or how good do you hope it will be?
I'm afraid we're not going to let players determine things about the game through voting. But people are always welcome to leave suggestions and we'll keep what people would like to happen in mind!

I'm afraid there won't be DLCs for other character routes this time. It's just about Tamarack and Qiu. I'm glad you like the games!

You should be able to fix that by pressing Shift + G and changing the renderer. Change it to ANGLE renderer.

Right now the hairstyles in Step 2 are set at random! But that's just because it's a brief preview and the entire game isn't done.

The Step DLCs will come first, then the Step 4 epilogue, and finally the wedding DLC.
