THIS GAME IS THE BEST I WOULD RATE THIS A 10/10. the reason why is because of this stuff.

Everything is so warm and cozy and nostalgic in Part One, and the Part Two preview just cemented this game being one of my most anticipated games ever. I love every character so much--Tamarack is just the sweetest and it's been so fun being her BFF. But also, my love for Qiu is beyond this world.
Thank you to the developer for the amount of thoughtfulness and care that seeps through literally every line of dialogue! I have tried playing other IFs/visual novels after this and sadly nothing compares.

Sorry GB-Patch Lad, hope you don't mind me adding my two-cents. If Qiu's name means Autumn in Chinese, then actually the video below shows the more accurate tonal pronunciation for the character 秋(qiū) or Autumn! Chinese has four different tones, so this one follows the 1st tone of high and flat.
The one above is 裘(qiú) which can be a surname or mean 'fur coat' (which also suits Qiu honestly haha). This one follows the second type of tone, which is rising.
Please correct me if I interpreted the character for Qiu's name wrongly! If it is the one you showed above then I'll delete this comment :)

You'll need to delete the old version and download it again if you're using Android! There's no way to make it so the game updates itself on that system.

This was the best visual novel by terms of options, characterization, art style, story, etc... The demo made me forget it was JUST a demo, that's how amazing this truly is. I cannot wait to play the full game!!!

I love this demo so much i swear to goooood, I loved Tamarack so much!! She's very cute and I just want to make my character to be her girlfriend rahhh, I can't wait to play the full game!!
I love how the game remembers your decisions and can figure out your personality in that way, also love how the dialogues also changes based on your choices, I tried a run where I'm being quiet most of the time and another where I'm really talkative and I actually was kind off surprised that the dialogues are different lmao. Also, since there's an option to romance Tamarack and/or Qiu I hope that there won't be any inappropriate stuff here, or at least it isn't forced onto you, I'm so tired of playing romance games where we'll be forced to have sex with our love interest or if you're given a choice to not do that they'll guilt trip you or smth, I just don't see the appeal... But then again, I'm sex repulsed so what do I know, right?
oh you dont have to worry about that! I have played their other game "Our life: begining and always" (totally recommend btw) and the characters are very respectful about your choices, often asking your character multiple times/ giving them the choice to say no without damaging the relationship - plus there is no explicit stuff until much later (if you choose so).
so I wouldn't worry about it and just enjoy the cute game!
Yeah, the game won't have anything truly explicit and any physical intimacy that happens is controlled by the player. Nobody is unhappy if you don't want to make out or hold hands.
If you are using windows, run the exe file that matches with your device (either the 32 bit or 64 bit version). If you are on linux, execute the .sh file.
Lovely experience. It feels very comforting; I think I am not alone in saying that this is especially the case for those who had a messy childhood.
Just hoping to ask though, in the future, would there be any plans for some extra options added for certain choices like the one where you have the options "You were lactose intolerant too" and "Not being able to have milk must have been tough", for people that don't consume animal products?
You can choose to be vegan in Steps 2 and going forward, but the MC is a little too young in Step 1 for us to have made that something they're fully aware of. MC doesn't have vegans in their family, so they need more time to figure it out for themselves. I'm glad you enjoyed the demo!
I appreciate you letting me know your plans for these options. Although I would have loved to have been vegan for all of my life, that is unfortunately a common story for someone with a family unsupportive of such a decision. I personally also started taking steps towards veganism only just slightly earlier than the age the characters are in Step 2 once I started learning to cook.
And yes! The demo is wonderful. I really loved playing though Our Life: Beginnings & Always. I can tell that your team has expanded on the many things in that project, which already culminated in a truly amazing experience, in this game just from what you have shown off in the demo. I'm looking forward to purchasing the full release and dlc once they come out, and seeing more of Tamarack and Qiu.
(P.S. This has probably been said a lot, but thank you as well so much for all the effort you put into making the game inclusive for nonbinary people, as well as for going to the extent of having one of the lead character be nonbinary. It makes me feel happy in a way I can't describe)

Hi! I really liked the jealousy mechanics you added, it's interesting! But I wanted to clarify a few details.
Only MC can get jealous or ROs too? And under what circumstances this is shown? Should MC like both ROs at the same time (not the poly route) or can one RO be just a friend, but the other will get jealous anyway, perhaps to the secondary characters? And to make this mechanic work, do you need to choose the option that RO is also in the crash stage? Or it doesn't depend on it? It’s just that my MC is in love with Qiu, but I wouldn't like to decide for Qiu whether they are in love with my MC or not, I want there to be some kind of intrigue in this. At the same time, I want to experience this jealousy mechanic, so I'm a little confused lol I hope you can tell me how it works! Thanks!
Qiu and Tamarack can be jealous. They can be jealous as a crush or as a friend, but not as a neighbor. I haven't written Step 2 besides that preview in the demo, so I can't give any specific examples of when the jealous element will show up, aha.
Understandable, but I was kinda wondering why you can't chose your neighbours to be "Envious Of". Since you are still probably gonna end up meeting and interacting with them, it would be interesting to see how the dynamic between you can completely change if you are really distant, yet one or both of you are envious. I imagine that in step 2 it is especially significant, since everyone are trying to figure themselves out
It's because the feature is already kind of confusing for players and adding more specifics on how it works and what doesn't work is too much. Since you can't be jealous over a neighbor, you can't use the jealousy feature at all. That's the most simple and easy to understand option for the system.
For some reason it shows the old thank you screen even if I click it shows them without no background talking, then sky then error message. Do I need to restart whole game?

There's no NSFW content in this game. It's a story that's appropriate for teenagers to play and enjoy as well as adults.
The most you'll get is probably kissing and butt grabbing, thats as far as the first game went

Sometimes loading a very old save in a new version doesn't work. Starting a new file should fix that.
