I wanna say this was the best game I have played in terms of getting hook to the characters and story. Everything about this was so cute with lot of relatable parts in it. We only on step one but I think I'm making self-discovery which surprised me for a game I initially got for the art, This game might be my therapy I can't wait for every update forward genuinely thank you
I saw someone on here do a step 1-3 explanation/prediction for their characters and I wanted to try my hand at it! I'll be using one of my characters: Nihao Kilan (it's based on a show I liked as a little kid).

In step one, she is a socially transitioned trans girl and is obsessed with all things anime, truly believing that she's a magical girl and someday, she'll get her powers. She loves art and crafts, cats, and accessories. She's a bit free-spirited but not mean. In this step, she's closer with Tamarack than Qiu because their basically two of the same cloth and match each other's energy.
In step two, she detransitions, dyes his hair, and prefers to be called "Zach". Zach soon becomes the most interesting person in Golden Grove. He didn't know how and he didn't really care. It wasn't like he looked for adventures, they came to him. His luck was near legendary and soon, it fed into his ego a little bit. Okay, a lot. He thinks he's better than everyone and he's the star of the show, everyone's just a background character. But he finds something he loves more than himself: business, and not just business: business and money. After a few business option classes, he dubbed himself a hustler. In this step, he completely unfriends Tamarack and instead becomes closer to Qiu, and they become "bros".
Zach^
In step three, Zach grows up and becomes more cocky and business-smart, letting the blue in his hair fade into its regular black. He's young, he's smug, and he doesn't care about your feelings because their is (almost) nothing you can say that could possibly hurt him back. He's that cool uncle that gives kids wads of cash to go crazy on. He's that one friend that has a beach house already there when the group goes on a group vacation. He's that pompous asshole at parties. He's the one and only Zack, and your at his service.

No you were right, in this game its three years. In our life, I'm pretty sure mc and baxter are the same age, or a year older at most. But take whatever I say with a grain of salt!
Baxter is only three years older in OL:NF, you're right. He's less than a year older in OL:BA. But he turned 19 in May and Cove won't turn 19 until November, so Cove is 18 while Baxter is 19 during Step 3.

Carolina is a hyperactive and sensitive girl.
Her likes include gardening, handicrafts (which she's not entirely skilled at...), outdoor walks, clothes with flower prints or animals, especially ferrets (she'd love to have one as a pet if she could).
She's considered Tamarack her best friend since the first time they met. She loves making homemade gifts for her friends from what she finds in the forest or materials at home (Tamarack is the great victim of her gifts). With Qiu her love language is more different with teasing and occasionally invading his yard with Tamarack, sometimes she feels hesitant to join the boys' club while Tamarack isn't there but she joined to please Qiu and curious about the other boys.
Most of the time she tries to make flower crowns but always fails miserably...but when she succeeds the flowers quickly fall apart in her hair (And that's exactly what happened :'(

i mainly focused on both my phisical and mental health this week
nevernotny won the case after kale promptly surrendered, and in honor of this victory i would declare a marriage be arranged between maeve and qiu (step 4 ofc)

Like, is there a story option that changes Qiu to your best friend or Tamarack to your crush?
in wheels for tamarack to become your crush, what you do (at least what i did) was not race with qiu and darren, and instead hang back with baxter and tamarack. you ride her scooter and you'll fall, you let her patch you up and there's an option that suggests that she becomes your crush, (sorry if it bad it's hard understand it's hard explain things)

step 1 he is organized and knows what he wants very confident
step 2 hes a mess he knows nothing and is scared of the future because he thinks hes gonna be a homeless bum
step 3 hes a sarcastic sweetheart hes a mentor type person but always forces the kids he "takes" (basically becomes their senior adult figure) in to mostly figure things out on their own but giving them hints and encouragement.
in step 3 he doesnt know what he wants but he isnt afraid of the future. He knows he'll be just fine with those around him. hes no longer a perfectionist think of step 3 liam as beanix (phoenix wright in the apollo justice game) but younger in the way he talks and acts

Ive been waiting for this for a entire week. the winner will be decided by who surrender's first OR we have until friday when the judge and jury will determine the winner.
I believe we should use our MCs, for this argument. We will argue why we think either one of ours deserves/needs qiu more.
Now for my opening statement, i believe Liam is a good partner to qiu for the following reasons,
1) even as a adult he still holds his responsibility that he has in step 1. He knows how to get things done
2) him and qiu are similar in personality, which allows them to relate to eachother more.
3) Liam is very stable (we dont speak about step 2) and because of his said development and growth. Hes a very empathetic person and cares for qiu in anyway he needs.
after your opening statement we can prosecute eachother as we please (as long as we dont go too far keep it civil)

I believe Maeve Auclair is a good candidate as a possible partner for Qiu Lin for multiple reasonings as following:
In step one Maeve's personality is shy and quiet and always looking out for Qiu. Qiu is the main reason why she likes Golden Grove in the first place and how she got settled down, without him I doubt she'd have the same experience and enjoyment as she did. Qiu slowly pulled her out of her shell, and if she didn't she would still be with her mother inside to this day. Maeve looked up to him, a lot, she felt safe around him, and followed him along like a lost puppy for the most part, as she was still getting used to everything else in Golden Grove
In step two Maeve's personality is a the same, but she takes more of an initiative, 'courtesy of step 1 Qiu Lin'. She gets them up and moving out the door to touch grass, she (sometimes) entertains Qiu Lin's dramatic episodes, but in the end she's empathetic and understands they can't stay inside all day (because that's what she wanted to do all of step 1) and as such she was able to coax Qiu out and ensure they're healthy, happy and enjoying himself. Even if it means pulling Qiu out of they're hiding place. She's understanding and sympathetic, and somewhat understands how Qiu feels, that's why she tries so hard to make sure they feels appreciated and understood.
Step 3 Maeve has become independent, she doesn't rely on people, not anymore, but still retains her gentle, soft demeanor. She's able to make her own decisions, and has more of a playful attitude towards her friends, she's caring towards them and somewhat acts as the 'mom-friend' as she's always looking out for them. She's stable and understands what she wants to do in the future, and has a clear plan of how she's going to achieve a stable income, in which she's able to support Qiu Lin if they do choose Maeve as a partner. She loves Qiu Lin a lot and wishes to support them in his endeavors, and ensure that they has a happy life, with whatever they choose even if it's not her.

Honestly the question is hard to answer without a biased opinion, so I'll say it like this.
It all depends on what Qiu wants in a partner. Do they want someone to be playful with? Do they want someone that challenges them? Do they want someone where they can just be together without any expectations? Do they want someone where they can comfort eachother?
It's hard to say since we don't have Qiu here as of now for reasons I'm not fully aware of, but let me put it like this.
I suppose it depends on who's the most versatile when it comes to loving you know? I feel like both Liam and Maeve certainly can be a lot of things for Qiu (depending on what he wants in a partner). If it weren't for my biased opinion I would say they're both suitable and compatible with Qiu personality wise, they cover different aspects in what Qiu could potentially want in a partner.
For my reasons I will say Maeve however, more because she's silent but put together and playful, and gives back to the community (However I think if I read your post about finally fleshing our Liam's personality correctly they are very similar in step 3). Maeve can be a flexible lover, whether it's just being bored together, playful together, or just together.
Just to reinstate this is obviously a biased opinion so we might need outside input to make it a solid statement.
Also since we have no idea what Step 4 Qiu is going to be like we can't officially say anything because that's around the time if they do choose, they'll get married. But that's just my opinion on who would fit better personality wise.
(Sorry for the rant i feel like i have to much creative juice and I need to burn in somehow. Anywhoozies I apologize for the most likely existing grammar mistakes)

Ive been waiting for this for a entire week. the winner will be decided by who surrender's first OR we have until friday when the judge and jury will determine the winner.
I believe we should use our MCs, for this argument. We will argue why we think either one of ours deserves/needs qiu more.
Now for my opening statement, i believe Liam is a good partner to qiu for the following reasons,
1) even as a adult he still holds his responsibility that he has in step 1. He knows how to get things done
2) him and qiu are similar in personality, which allows them to relate to eachother more.
3) Liam is very stable (we dont speak about step 2) and because of his said development and growth. Hes a very empathetic person and cares for qiu in anyway he needs.
after your opening statement we can prosecute eachother as we please (as long as we dont go too far keep it civil)

I believe Maeve Auclair is a good candidate as a possible partner for Qiu Lin for multiple reasonings as following:
In step one Maeve's personality is shy and quiet and always looking out for Qiu. Qiu is the main reason why she likes Golden Grove in the first place and how she got settled down, without him I doubt she'd have the same experience and enjoyment as she did. Qiu slowly pulled her out of her shell, and if she didn't she would still be with her mother inside to this day. Maeve looked up to him, a lot, she felt safe around him, and followed him along like a lost puppy for the most part, as she was still getting used to everything else in Golden Grove
In step two Maeve's personality is a the same, but she takes more of an initiative, 'courtesy of step 1 Qiu Lin'. She gets them up and moving out the door to touch grass, she (sometimes) entertains Qiu Lin's dramatic episodes, but in the end she's empathetic and understands they can't stay inside all day (because that's what she wanted to do all of step 1) and as such she was able to coax Qiu out and ensure they're healthy, happy and enjoying himself. Even if it means pulling Qiu out of they're hiding place. She's understanding and sympathetic, and somewhat understands how Qiu feels, that's why she tries so hard to make sure they feels appreciated and understood.
Step 3 Maeve has become independent, she doesn't rely on people, not anymore, but still retains her gentle, soft demeanor. She's able to make her own decisions, and has more of a playful attitude towards her friends, she's caring towards them and somewhat acts as the 'mom-friend' as she's always looking out for them. She's stable and understands what she wants to do in the future, and has a clear plan of how she's going to achieve a stable income, in which she's able to support Qiu Lin if they do choose Maeve as a partner. She loves Qiu Lin a lot and wishes to support them in his endeavors, and ensure that they has a happy life, with whatever they choose even if it's not her.

Honestly the question is hard to answer without a biased opinion, so I'll say it like this.
It all depends on what Qiu wants in a partner. Do they want someone to be playful with? Do they want someone that challenges them? Do they want someone where they can just be together without any expectations? Do they want someone where they can comfort eachother?
It's hard to say since we don't have Qiu here as of now for reasons I'm not fully aware of, but let me put it like this.
I suppose it depends on who's the most versatile when it comes to loving you know? I feel like both Liam and Maeve certainly can be a lot of things for Qiu (depending on what he wants in a partner). If it weren't for my biased opinion I would say they're both suitable and compatible with Qiu personality wise, they cover different aspects in what Qiu could potentially want in a partner.
For my reasons I will say Maeve however, more because she's silent but put together and playful, and gives back to the community (However I think if I read your post about finally fleshing our Liam's personality correctly they are very similar in step 3). Maeve can be a flexible lover, whether it's just being bored together, playful together, or just together.
Just to reinstate this is obviously a biased opinion so we might need outside input to make it a solid statement.
Also since we have no idea what Step 4 Qiu is going to be like we can't officially say anything because that's around the time if they do choose, they'll get married. But that's just my opinion on who would fit better personality wise.
