What do you mean by consistent? It takes me over an hour to draw a single hand most times.
But for real, I’m working on a drawing of all my OCs together but it’s a pain bc most of them have never been drawn. And I say OCs because some are from a story of my own.

Upon waking up this morning, I realized that I didn't like KitKat's step 2 hair design. I've had an idea for a character's hair for a while a decided to try it out. Let me know your honest opinion cuz I'm not set on this yet.
Basically the ends of her hair started to connect into in loops for some strange reason. But it's still wild and unkempt, fraying every which way.

Greetings! here's a drawing of my MCs during step 2. Bacon has sprouted to freakish heights and Kathryne's blindness has made her even more moody, antisocial, and depressed. Oh yeah, KitKat has also started to become intersted in the Occult after having a run in with... something. I won't spoil it, maybe I'll draw it. But not on here cuz this isn't the place.
This reminds me that Leonard is just a little taller than Tamarack, meaning that in the boys club he is the shortest while Chris, my friend's MC, is the tallest in the group.
I don't think Elias could go any taller than him, he'll probably max out at 6,9 in step 3 before shrinking to 6,8 in step 4.
Even then I feel that Elias would be a little jealous at him, but focus on not showing it knowing DAMN well that Bacon could easily beat him up, or worse (yes, despite the fact that Bacon is a bit mentally challenged).

When you make up stories about your MC’s (just generally not specifically OLNF), do you ever add world elements that aren’t there originally? And if so, what?
For example, I like to think that Lovecraftian (eldritch) horrors exists in my OLNF MC’s world.
Please tell me I’m not the only weird person who does this.
Runie’s world is directly connected to the bigger lore I have regarding his existence (like the fact that hes a fragment of some guy who scattered himself into many MANY parts)
It makes for fun visual novel MC ideas honestly because I can just say theyre also fragments LOL
also would love to know how your eldritch horrors live in your OLNF verse plspls
I think of my MC’s as fragments as well. But as fragments of myself. I take one part of my Personality and crank it up to eleven to make that aspect predominant for the character. At some point I’ll probably make all of these character fragments in ONLF. As for the Eldritch, they’re usually reclusive, not wanting to be seen by humans. Some are always there watching from the shadows, some live in seclusion and cause strange phenomenon in the area. Oh, there’s also the normal Lovecraftian monsters as well as the “Other Gods” like Cthulhu or Nyarlathotep,
Your OLNF verse sounds very fun to live in, if I don't have absolute dog-shite luck and accidentally see an eldritch abomination- We could perhaps go sight seeing to see these monsters hehe >:D
(also a bit of a tangent) Runie's case is a bit special though (im not gonna bore you with the lore because even I got confused about what I wrote TT) But basically genius mage dude die, shatters himself into loads of pieces, each fragment gets a blessing of his intelligence (how Runie got his unnatural super strength) and every visual novel MC that I created are connected to each other because of the fact that they're fragments of a shared consciousness.
but anyways, I would like to see more of your OLNF verse. I can see it has potential themes for horror and I love it :3
Actually, funny you mention seeing the monsters. In lovecraftian horror, people don't automatically go insane after seeing an eldritch. People have looked at cthulu and been perfectly fine. It's only if your mind can't understand what you're looking at that it breaks.

The one with the highest percentage (89%) is Romeo (an original character not for a visual novel) because hes closer to the main consciousness’ og universe and has more similarities of him.

That’s interesting. I never thought of that. I usually think of my mc’s other versions of myself. Each with one of my characteristics cranked up higher than the rest.
So they are the manifestation of your Being devided into many.
The sad part about my Vision is the fact that most My ocs are only tied by their universe if one exists in that timeline it's because each one of them is their independent unique person, thus making their encounter a case of a paradox state, but for OL1 it's Just Miss Pam and Lani adopting a different child than the one that was adopted in the prior timeline thus leaving their child from an another timeline to be adopted by somebody else and breaking my heart in the process
hmm… i don’t know if it counts but i make Golden Grove a little but bigger than it is described as (more shops, more buildings…) but not to the point it’s like a city of course. it’ll always keep being a town.
i also connected my olba mc with my olnf oc; they’re cousins by their mothers. (pamela, to be exact. cause while im p sure canonically the girl is just white, but in my universe she’s korean) Zae, my olba mc, is also blasian like kojo, but he’s ethnically from Ivory Coast (bio mom) and Indonesian (bio dad.)
other than that most of my other stuff (kojo being a shady butcher, partial fantasy/hybrid au (avian qiu, satyr tammy) and a recent au im fleshing out which involves the supernatural/ghosts and stuff) are all considered alternative universes to me.
Obviously, most of my mcs are based off of me, so i guess he’s a ‘fragment’ in some way or another like Runie lmao 🙏😼
Maybe i’d add some form of supernatural in my main au cause in step two kojo likes to go ghost hunting with my non-mcs and shit, but at the end of the day my added stuff is not really all that big 😞💔
I get that. I sometimes keep things in separate realities. And I encourage you to experiment with some supernatural elements it can be really fun. Especially when only 1 or 2 people are aware of it. ;)
I added folklore and faeries, basically they exist in the forest and the MCs keep the fact the folklore is real a secret into my MCs world, Haruki and Maeve exist in the same world as Maeve as the romance MC and Haruki lives in the neighborhood were Renee.
Also Maeve’s bio father has a bit of elven blood so in the MC universe she can interact more with the faeries and creatures.
and the group goes on adventures in the forests and interacts and learns ab the creatures they keep in a scrap book

i think it's neat how "Ñ" is respected as the next letter to "N" as it is on the Spanish vocabulary, I still wonder how the game would react of your name started with a number or some other special character tho.
Or maybe this is just the default message for names that are on the later letters or something

Mari would probably dislike Bacon, if I recall correctly, Mari dislike tall people and people who are overly sweet. Bacon is friggin giant and also just really happy all the time. She might warm up a bit when she realizes he’s only like that because of his mental disabilities though. She’d probably like Kathryne though, KitKat is very short and is pretty reserved. She is a bit of an ice queen to strangers though so Mari might just think she’s mean. KitKat is also blind so, not sure how Mari would react to that.
Don’t know much about Kel since I haven’t been on here that long so, bummer I guess.
KitKat and Elias would probably get along pretty well. KitKat is also german (but as in from Germany not just ethnically) so they’d probably bond over that. Elias and her might also relate over their illnesses, KitKat having lost her vision to disease and Elias’s condition. Bacon would also likely be friends with him. Bacon is used to taking care of Kathryne so he’d likely help out Elias when his condition prevents him from doing things.
Mari would DEFINETLY not like Bacon. doesn't rlly matter if she's aware of the disability or not (she wont bully him though, just ignore him) She'd be mildly nice to Kitkat tho, generally just dismissing her. She'd probably look out a lot for her if she knew she was completely blind tho so.
Elias and Kitkat would only be able to get along once they know each other's disabilities, and they'd trauma bond and stuff like that. Otherwise without that knowledge i don't think they'd ever get along due to Kitkat being a bit cold and Elias being a casual, nice and chill guy.
Kel is basically an outgoing popular short king who a lot of people loved (and he liked back, halfway platonic and halfway romantic) he's generally very charismatic so yeh :p
Oh trust me. Mari would know pretty quickly that Kathryne is blind. She doesn’t respond to visual stimulus, has all her textbooks in braille, and wears her sunglasses at all times.
Kel might be able to win Bacon over but KitKat would probably find him slightly annoying. Charismatic or not, smooth talking and charm doesn’t really work on her. Plus, with Kel being popular, she’d have to be around too many people to hang out with him.
Mari is an introvert basically. Standoffish but somehow offensive to like half of the school. Otherwise her personality is quite hollow but she's fairly outgoing to her friends.
Elias is a nice guy. He's nice, casual, and welcoming to most people (excluding his bullies). He's also very frail due to a genetic illness inherited from his father
Canonically the Baxter DLC occurred but she ended up marrying Cove.
Your last name is Woods because I couldn't think of anything better.... I'm not good with last names.
Leonard (OL2):
Possibly his real name is Leonardo and he just uses Leonard because he prefers his name that way (I'm still wondering if this will be canon)
In the story, he currently only has 3 nicknames(4 if his name is Leonardo). The most normal ones are Leo and Leon.
His last nickname is Constellation because of the various moles on his body that look like stars, Qiu gave him the nickname when she saw him shirtless for the first time.
Thomas Golden (OL3 - I know there won't be an OL3 but I created he before I knew that):
He was Leonard's only friend in town before the boy moved to Golden Grove.
Thomas' nickname is Gold due to his appearance; golden yellow hair and eyes

I’m not sure. I honestly would rather just wait and see how they act in game. I can get too in my own head sometimes and that can ruin certain things because they aren’t what I had imagined. :P
I think Qiu and Tammy with glare at the person and move closer to the mc, if they’re touchy feely with with the mc I bet they’ll just cuddle up to there sides or lean on the mc like a cat wanting attention or smth :D
This!! I personally agree with this take as well because then if the person who is getting too close to MC realises what they're doing they have this sh!t-eating grin on their face
between Qiu and Tama getting jealous over who’s closer with one’s MC, i think they’d scoff or make disgruntled noises and stuff, as well as glare at one another. Qiu would definitely be more confident and bratty in showing they are jealous, while i think Tamarack would be a little more quiet and show it through body language. This could also do for Qiu, but i’d like to imagine them as a brat ☝️🤓
this next part is about step 2 ‘cause that’s where the sneak-peek is from.
for Qiu and a random; if your mc and Qiu are of the ‘neighbours’ status, and for example, they had to work together for a group project of three or four people, and one of those non-mcs were close friends with your mc, i could see Qiu acting like they don’t care about it and maybe make some snarky comments such as: ‘are we interrupting something?’, ‘this is not a date, you know? we have work to do., and that’s coming from someone who slacks off,’ ‘God, can you two focus?,’ and such things, but deep down in their mind they’re overthinking everything and — this is just my dynamic between Qiu and Kojo in step 2 — if your mc and them were crushes in step 1, they might wonder if your mc and non-mc are dating. And in passing hallways they might spare a quick glance and frown at the sight of your mc happy with someone that isn’t them or Tamarack, before going back to their own things.
For other statuses I would say the same, but if MC and Qiu are crushes/dating (especially dating) they might be a bit more possessive and blunt with their actions.
for Tammy and a random: as much as the girl is shy, overthinking and girl-failing in step 2, i think she could give NASTYY glares to non-mcs. Like Qiu, she’d probably overthink a lot, and as i mentioned earlier; i don’t think she’d audibly speak up about it. but she’d probably stay close or ask MC to hang out afterwards if , for example, Tammy and MC were eating lunch in the cafeteria and a friend of MC would walk up and spark a conversation with them for a good 20 minutes.
for both i’d say they get clingy. with Qiu getting to a point it might actually get annoying 😞 I do think that Tammy would be more possessive, actually. like silently plotting the rando’s downfall.

Leonard is good at drawing and painting because, due to moving cities several times, he gave up on making friends and ended up practicing painting most of the time which made his drawing skills improve a lot.

Upon waking up this morning, I realized that I didn't like KitKat's step 2 hair design. I've had an idea for a character's hair for a while a decided to try it out. Let me know your honest opinion cuz I'm not set on this yet.
Basically the ends of her hair started to connect into in loops for some strange reason. But it's still wild and unkempt, fraying every which way.

Bacon also keeps his unnatural weight into adulthood. In step 2 he's 420 lbs but by the time he stops growing, he's 563 lbs.
This reminds me that Leonard is just a little taller than Tamarack, meaning that in the boys club he is the shortest while Chris, my friend's MC, is the tallest in the group.

Even then I feel that Elias would be a little jealous at him, but focus on not showing it knowing DAMN well that Bacon could easily beat him up, or worse (yes, despite the fact that Bacon is a bit mentally challenged).

For example, I like to think that Lovecraftian (eldritch) horrors exists in my OLNF MC’s world.

I think of my MC’s as fragments as well. But as fragments of myself. I take one part of my Personality and crank it up to eleven to make that aspect predominant for the character. At some point I’ll probably make all of these character fragments in ONLF.
As for the Eldritch, they’re usually reclusive, not wanting to be seen by humans. Some are always there watching from the shadows, some live in seclusion and cause strange phenomenon in the area. Oh, there’s also the normal Lovecraftian monsters as well as the “Other Gods” like Cthulhu or Nyarlathotep,
Your OLNF verse sounds very fun to live in, if I don't have absolute dog-shite luck and accidentally see an eldritch abomination- We could perhaps go sight seeing to see these monsters hehe >:D

Runie's case is a bit special though (im not gonna bore you with the lore because even I got confused about what I wrote TT) But basically genius mage dude die, shatters himself into loads of pieces, each fragment gets a blessing of his intelligence (how Runie got his unnatural super strength) and every visual novel MC that I created are connected to each other because of the fact that they're fragments of a shared consciousness.

Actually, funny you mention seeing the monsters. In lovecraftian horror, people don't automatically go insane after seeing an eldritch. People have looked at cthulu and been perfectly fine. It's only if your mind can't understand what you're looking at that it breaks.

The one with the highest percentage (89%) is Romeo (an original character not for a visual novel) because hes closer to the main consciousness’ og universe and has more similarities of him.

The sad part about my Vision is the fact that most My ocs are only tied by their universe if one exists in that timeline it's because each one of them is their independent unique person, thus making their encounter a case of a paradox state, but for OL1 it's Just Miss Pam and Lani adopting a different child than the one that was adopted in the prior timeline thus leaving their child from an another timeline to be adopted by somebody else and breaking my heart in the process
hmm… i don’t know if it counts but i make Golden Grove a little but bigger than it is described as (more shops, more buildings…) but not to the point it’s like a city of course. it’ll always keep being a town.
i also connected my olba mc with my olnf oc; they’re cousins by their mothers. (pamela, to be exact. cause while im p sure canonically the girl is just white, but in my universe she’s korean) Zae, my olba mc, is also blasian like kojo, but he’s ethnically from Ivory Coast (bio mom) and Indonesian (bio dad.)
other than that most of my other stuff (kojo being a shady butcher, partial fantasy/hybrid au (avian qiu, satyr tammy) and a recent au im fleshing out which involves the supernatural/ghosts and stuff) are all considered alternative universes to me.
Obviously, most of my mcs are based off of me, so i guess he’s a ‘fragment’ in some way or another like Runie lmao 🙏😼
Maybe i’d add some form of supernatural in my main au cause in step two kojo likes to go ghost hunting with my non-mcs and shit, but at the end of the day my added stuff is not really all that big 😞💔
I get that. I sometimes keep things in separate realities. And I encourage you to experiment with some supernatural elements it can be really fun. Especially when only 1 or 2 people are aware of it. ;)

I added folklore and faeries, basically they exist in the forest and the MCs keep the fact the folklore is real a secret into my MCs world, Haruki and Maeve exist in the same world as Maeve as the romance MC and Haruki lives in the neighborhood were Renee.
Also Maeve’s bio father has a bit of elven blood so in the MC universe she can interact more with the faeries and creatures.
and the group goes on adventures in the forests and interacts and learns ab the creatures they keep in a scrap book

Mari would probably dislike Bacon, if I recall correctly, Mari dislike tall people and people who are overly sweet. Bacon is friggin giant and also just really happy all the time. She might warm up a bit when she realizes he’s only like that because of his mental disabilities though. She’d probably like Kathryne though, KitKat is very short and is pretty reserved. She is a bit of an ice queen to strangers though so Mari might just think she’s mean. KitKat is also blind so, not sure how Mari would react to that.
Don’t know much about Kel since I haven’t been on here that long so, bummer I guess.
KitKat and Elias would probably get along pretty well. KitKat is also german (but as in from Germany not just ethnically) so they’d probably bond over that. Elias and her might also relate over their illnesses, KitKat having lost her vision to disease and Elias’s condition. Bacon would also likely be friends with him. Bacon is used to taking care of Kathryne so he’d likely help out Elias when his condition prevents him from doing things.
Mari would DEFINETLY not like Bacon. doesn't rlly matter if she's aware of the disability or not (she wont bully him though, just ignore him) She'd be mildly nice to Kitkat tho, generally just dismissing her. She'd probably look out a lot for her if she knew she was completely blind tho so.
Elias and Kitkat would only be able to get along once they know each other's disabilities, and they'd trauma bond and stuff like that. Otherwise without that knowledge i don't think they'd ever get along due to Kitkat being a bit cold and Elias being a casual, nice and chill guy.
Kel is basically an outgoing popular short king who a lot of people loved (and he liked back, halfway platonic and halfway romantic) he's generally very charismatic so yeh :p
Oh trust me. Mari would know pretty quickly that Kathryne is blind. She doesn’t respond to visual stimulus, has all her textbooks in braille, and wears her sunglasses at all times.
Kel might be able to win Bacon over but KitKat would probably find him slightly annoying. Charismatic or not, smooth talking and charm doesn’t really work on her. Plus, with Kel being popular, she’d have to be around too many people to hang out with him.

Mari is an introvert basically. Standoffish but somehow offensive to like half of the school. Otherwise her personality is quite hollow but she's fairly outgoing to her friends.
Elias is a nice guy. He's nice, casual, and welcoming to most people (excluding his bullies). He's also very frail due to a genetic illness inherited from his father

Canonically the Baxter DLC occurred but she ended up marrying Cove.
Your last name is Woods because I couldn't think of anything better.... I'm not good with last names.
Leonard (OL2):
Possibly his real name is Leonardo and he just uses Leonard because he prefers his name that way (I'm still wondering if this will be canon)
In the story, he currently only has 3 nicknames(4 if his name is Leonardo). The most normal ones are Leo and Leon.
His last nickname is Constellation because of the various moles on his body that look like stars, Qiu gave him the nickname when she saw him shirtless for the first time.
Thomas Golden (OL3 - I know there won't be an OL3 but I created he before I knew that):
He was Leonard's only friend in town before the boy moved to Golden Grove.
Thomas' nickname is Gold due to his appearance; golden yellow hair and eyes

between Qiu and Tama getting jealous over who’s closer with one’s MC, i think they’d scoff or make disgruntled noises and stuff, as well as glare at one another. Qiu would definitely be more confident and bratty in showing they are jealous, while i think Tamarack would be a little more quiet and show it through body language. This could also do for Qiu, but i’d like to imagine them as a brat ☝️🤓
this next part is about step 2 ‘cause that’s where the sneak-peek is from.
for Qiu and a random; if your mc and Qiu are of the ‘neighbours’ status, and for example, they had to work together for a group project of three or four people, and one of those non-mcs were close friends with your mc, i could see Qiu acting like they don’t care about it and maybe make some snarky comments such as: ‘are we interrupting something?’, ‘this is not a date, you know? we have work to do., and that’s coming from someone who slacks off,’ ‘God, can you two focus?,’ and such things, but deep down in their mind they’re overthinking everything and — this is just my dynamic between Qiu and Kojo in step 2 — if your mc and them were crushes in step 1, they might wonder if your mc and non-mc are dating. And in passing hallways they might spare a quick glance and frown at the sight of your mc happy with someone that isn’t them or Tamarack, before going back to their own things.
For other statuses I would say the same, but if MC and Qiu are crushes/dating (especially dating) they might be a bit more possessive and blunt with their actions.
for Tammy and a random: as much as the girl is shy, overthinking and girl-failing in step 2, i think she could give NASTYY glares to non-mcs. Like Qiu, she’d probably overthink a lot, and as i mentioned earlier; i don’t think she’d audibly speak up about it. but she’d probably stay close or ask MC to hang out afterwards if , for example, Tammy and MC were eating lunch in the cafeteria and a friend of MC would walk up and spark a conversation with them for a good 20 minutes.
for both i’d say they get clingy. with Qiu getting to a point it might actually get annoying 😞 I do think that Tammy would be more possessive, actually. like silently plotting the rando’s downfall.

Fact about Leonard (because I'm too lazy to draw):
Leonard is good at drawing and painting because, due to moving cities several times, he gave up on making friends and ended up practicing painting most of the time which made his drawing skills improve a lot.
