It came out before this one and is fully completed. its very similar but takes place in the beach! Its really one of my favorite games and I would totally recommend it if you haven't already played it lol.

There is no way to change. You can't fix someone else's relationship and it's not your fault for doing the wrong things that they are the way they are. It's always going to be that way. But that is only Step 2 out of four, there's plenty of time for them to rebuild a friendship.
Hey just a thought. Would it be possible to have a feature where you can export your avatar as a .png? I know screen clipping would suffice but the image quality is not great.

Qiu is genderfluid with they/them and he/him pronouns. Though as a child, Qiu is assigned male at birth. It's never appropriate to call Qiu a girl or use she/her pronouns for them.
That's not what it means. All it describes is that your sense of identity shifts and changes instead of being a consistent aspect of yourself. Being genderfluid can mean many things because there are more gender identities than male and female. And Qiu doesn't identify as either of those.
Highly unlikely, as they stated in their recent Steam update:
"Specifically, Step 1 will be fully completed in 2024 and I'll make as much headway into Step 2 as possible. There will be two updates to the public demo, one probably in May and another sometime in Fall/Third Quarter 2024. Those will focus on Step 1 scenes still."
At this rate, with 1 full Step per year, the full game is expected to be somewhere in 2027 or late 2026.
Right now Step 1 is already half done. So 2024 will be the rest of Step 1, a lot of Step 2, and 2025 will be the rest of Step 2 and Step 3. That's the whole base game. But the Step 4 epilogue will be added to the game later on and won't be done until 2026.
The Step 1 base content and Step 1 DLC will be written, then Step 2 and its DLC, then Step 3 and that DLC, and only after those will I be able to work on Step 4. I don't write things that much out of order. The content has to be done linearly so it can properly be referenced in later time periods.

Still can't believe its free until end, thank you so much :''') But like seriously it's such a good game, from the fact that Qiu and maybe Tamarack? had something to say about our characters accessories (bandages and headbands). Because I wasn't expecting Qiu to ask me about my bandages, which I thought were just for character customization. Overall just amazing 👍🏻
I just finished the updated demo- Act 2 shy Tamarack when she has a crush and is also jealous is the cutest thing in the world, I just know her romance is going to be so fluffy. I absolutely cannot wait for the full game ^^
How are you trying to download it? If you're on a computer, you can try to download the game through the Itch app instead of the website. Or Itch might just be having server problems that will go away after a while.
I love this game sm. Its so cute and I love the slight flirting in the preview for Step 2 (I made my character and Qui have a crush on eachother) and its the cutest thing ever. don't know why but I like that you have the option of changing your feelings in the Moments instead of the prelude of step 1. Again it just feels so much more realistic to me because, of course, you would be wary and indifferent when you meet someone new but your feelings would change over time based on how much time you spend and get to know the other person. I created my MC to be apprehensive and shy towards Qiu, because he reminds him of the bullies who had picked on him in his old school but his behavior changed when he saw how Qiu stood up against Darren's sexism and made MC acted friendly towards Qiu as oppose cold and indifferent. There is also a point where Qiu tells my MC how cool he is even though my MC came in last place in the race and there is an option in the dialogue box for the MC to have a gay panic moment of self-realization "Wait, I think I have a crush on him now?! Why is this happening??"There is so much room for improvisation and complexity in this game.
Honestly, the game is too good. I have been sleep-deprived for the past week because I keep playing this game at 3:00 AM in the morning. At this point, I think I know all the dialouge.
Okay. Here are some thoughts on the writing so far, it's pretty great. All characters except for one seem to have a purpose within the story. Everyone except for Baxter Ward. I get that he is supposed to be more of a background character but he needs to do more other than "And Baxter just stood there unaffected by what just happened with a smirk on his face." Once is fine, but he's no longer interesting when he almost always gets described at great length by that in the story. It's irritating after a while.
Baxter is actually a cameo character. He won't play a big role in this game at all. He's much more prominently featured in the first game's DLC. Check that out if you think he's interesting enough. 🙂
Agreed, honestly. The devs clearly like to insert their characters from other games, and that's fine, but it never feels very organic or interesting imo. In the first Our Life game Shiloh and Jeremy felt the same way, especially in act 3. I was like, why am I here? Why am I being forced to interact with them? I didn't play your other game, I don't care about these people.

I'm afraid I'm not entirely sure, but it's not likely. Taking a screenshot in the camera mode is the best way to get an image of the avatar!

The 14 yo part of the demo is just a preview. Step 2 is still in development.

sometimes virus scanners mistake dowloads for being harmful, turn it off and after you extract turn it back on
You don't need to extract it, I don't know if it works for you but I can just open it without extracting.
