Heya quick question. Do you have a release date set for the Derek and Baxter DLC's? I fell in love with them, and I would very much like you to take my money so I can have more pls. T^T
so i bought and downloaded the dlc from this site and tried to play it, but every time i try to open the game with the dlc in the 'game' folder, it gives me an error message and refuses to open? i don't know how to fix it... is anyone else having this issue or is it just me?

It looks like you're using an old build of the base game. Can you download the most recent version of Our Life, the most recent version of any other DLCs you own, and the Wedding DLC, and add those most current DLC files into the current version of the main build.
I'm sorry for the confusion. Please download the DLC directly from the website rather than using the Itch.io app. The app tries to install the file but can't because it's an add-on to the game and not the game itself.

I was in your exact position when I was 14!! I wanted to buy games on itchio but didn’t have any way to pay for it. I lived like that foreverrr until I convinced my parents to let me have a joint bank account, and I would do little jobs around the house (or even babysit my brother) for money. I loved that moment I could finally play the dlc for that free game that I wanted to play so bad (not Our Life, another game) I got a real job when I was 17 and now I don’t even have to worry about how much the games cost. If you’re 16 that all should be easy to do.
I wish I could work a job, but even if I suggest it to my parents, they most likely won't allow it cause they are very protective over me since I'm autistic with social issues(Like I trust everyone and everything and I don't question it while also having a fear of trying to help people or asking for help), but I think if I did have to work I would do stocking in supermarkets cause I like sorting items that are in the wrong place already tho idk about the customers asking where stuff is, I think I'd panic and have a meltdown from that
Man, I know this DLC is for the Cove wedding and I love him so much...but seeing Derek and Baxter (especially Baxter) made me so sad....I can't believe I'm off the market LOL

This has been a huge problem for me since dlc 3. No matter what the dl goes somewhere and the way u do , just the file and the installer without finding a way to actually open the launcher is making my experience really frustrating sigh.
Is there a way to actually find the launcher in a tablet and see how I can place all files together?
This DLC looks so beautiful from the given picture alone, sadly i can´t get it because of the sad truth that I´m poor. Maybe someday in the future I´ll be able to get this and have the wedding of my dreams with the fictional man of my dreams! Keep up the good work!:)
Im having trouble downloading on mac I have all the other dlc's downloaded but when I try to download and open the wedding dlc it says it can't find the application to open the file.. it just keeps saying there is no application set to open
edit: I finally got it I just needed to reinstall the new patch for the base game and all the dlc's and it finally worked!
Bought it as soon as it came out, just as I have with all of the DLCs. Can't wait for Baxter's (especially after playing the Wedding DLC. My heart!) and Derek's.
However, I noticed if you wait until Step 4 for most things, it's like they never happened. I have a couple instances. Oddly, it's like there's a disconnect between Step 4 and the Wedding.

Apparently I like seeing Cove cry. I never knew I was the type to bully the person I love. Anyway:
I like waiting until Step 4 to tell Cove about the $20, but then in the Wedding when his dad talks about it, it's like I never told him.
Similar if I don't get together with Cove until Step 4, I expected Baxter to be like "when did you two get together?" And telling him we got engaged after dating less than 12 hours should elicit SOME reaction.
Oh god, I'm not going to survive this. I'm already dieing of laughter 5 min into the dlc. Must...resist...making...20 dollar...joke. >xD And nope...I couldn't resist. Love you, Mr. Holden. xD
And...dangit. I wasn't going to cry, but Mr. Holden's speech at the reception broke me. Ugh...you are a good dad to! Dx
Final thoughts: That was actually the perfect way to end this story. Letting everyone give speeches, wedding on the beach and reception at the aquarium, getting to dance with the parents, sister as my maid of honor, and a having Baxter and Jeremy there as well. A perfect close to Cove and Hunter's story. (though their future will have a child in it, for sure. xD) Thank you guys for a wonderful game.
I'm having some trouble downloading it, never mind installing it. I'm playing on Windows. Okay, so I've updated the base game to 1.5. But...when I try to download the Wedding DLC after purchase, I get an error "No manager for installer unknown."
When installing into the default location didn't work, I tried to install them via directing them to the base "game" folder. No luck. But...two empty files (Wedding and Downloads) do appear when I did this. There's just nothing in them? (also, the Wedding file under the itch app itself is empty)
I can't seem to successfully download an rpa file for the DLC, so I have nothing to copy/paste into the game folder.
I'm not sure if this will help on Mac, but I was having a similar issue on Windows and the team says to try downloading it through the website, not the Itch app.
You might try that? When I did, the download completed no issues, then I just followed the install instructions above.

I have always thought that a wedding would be a waste of money and never understood all the "hype" around it. Until I played this DLC. You guys have no idea of how much this game affected my way of thinking about a ton of things, it helped me a lot with my "young-adult crisis" and it was just worthy every second. It's the best VN/Otome Game that was made (saying this after 10 years playing this type of games) and I'm extremely grateful for GBPatch for this masterpiece! Cove will always have a special place on my heart.

You don't have to install the rpa files, you just have to move them into the Our Life folder.
1. Download the rpa file after purchase
2. From Android internal storage, navigate to Android/data/ourlife.demo.apk/files/ and create a game/ folder there if one does not already exist.
3. Move or copy/paste the rpa file to the game folder. The end path should look like Android/data/ourlife.demo.apk/files/game/[whichever_dlc_it_is].rpa (the name of the rpa file will be different depending on the DLC it is)
* Note: You may need to grant your file manager app additional permissions to access the Android/data folder.
4. Fully close the Our Life: Beginnings & Always application and re-launch it.
If your device doesn't let you move files still, you can download an external file management app or connect your device to a computer to move/update the files.

I downloaded it on the app on my computer, Windows, but when I clink into the folder and into the itch folder it says nothing is there. I've done it 3 times, help please?
When I download it through the browser it simply shows me an rpa file with the browsers icon and then when i try to open that it loops me back to the browser and tries to redownload it. Do i just put the rpa file as is in the game folder?
On Windows I downloaded and moved the file to the game folder, but after the Step 4 ending screen I'm back to the Title screen. is there something else i'm supposed to do?

Here's what the Android programmer says about that: to help add the DLC you can download an external file management app like Amaze File Manager (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amaze.filemanager) or to connect your phone to a computer to move/update the files.
You'll need to redownload and install the base game and any other DLCs you own to have them be up-to-date as well. I'm sorry for the trouble!

Hey there! Fellow mac user here, so I might be able to help if it still hasn't worked. If you already downloaded to 1.5 ver, I suggest you move all dlcs from your last downloaded game of Cove and move it to the game folder in the 1.5. To get to the Game Folder, you'll need to click "Show Package Contents" by right clicking. One you've got show package contents it shouldn't take much to find the game folders (Contents -> Resources -> Autorun -> Game). It might ask later ask you about a privacy issue and that it wont work because of an unidentified creator or smth like that. Just go to setting, click on security and privacy, get on the General tab in it, and then allow the Cove game to work! Hopefully this helps. <3
I'm playing on windows and when I try to download the DLC I get a "no manager for installer known" error. I assume it's because the game is made for all systems and it doesn't have a specific download for each one. Does anyone know how to fix this problem??
For Mac users, we didn't need a program like we thought.
Just follow their instructions which were to copy the new files in the game folder:
1. Download the rpa file after purchase
2. Open the folder of your current Our Life Build and find the "game" folder inside. To view folders on Mac you might have to right click the application launcher and select "view package contents" and you may have to open a couple different folders before you find the "game" folder tucked away inside
3. Move or copy/paste the rpa file into the Our Life "game" folder

You can check your Itch account library to redownload games that you own! It can't be done on the game page itself, for some reason.
Are you using the Itch App? Unfortunately, that's not working for people. Downloading directly from the site works out for most, though.

Are you trying to download through the Itch app? It seems that's not working for some people and using the normal site works better.

I think you might be in the wrong folder - there should be one called exactly "ourlife.demo.apk" instead!

I have downloaded all the new versions for ourlife dlc including the wedding with 1.5 vers of game for Android but don't know how to install all the dlc it keeping showing rpa I do not no what that means me being dumb don't understand so can anyone help this dummie me who desperate to Marry COVE ASAP like Peridot:🥺😥😢😭🤧
You don't have to install the rpa files, you just have to move them into the Our Life folder.
1. Download the rpa file after purchase
2. From Android internal storage, navigate to Android/data/ourlife.demo.apk/files/ and create a game/ folder there if one does not already exist. 3. Move or copy/paste the rpa file to the game folder. The end path should look like Android/data/ourlife.demo.apk/files/game/[whichever_dlc_it_is].rpa (the name of the rpa file will be different depending on the DLC it is)
* Note: You may need to grant your file manager app additional permissions to access the Android/data folder.
4. Fully close the Our Life: Beginnings & Always application and re-launch it. If your device doesn't let you move files still, you can download an external file management app or connect your device to a computer to move/update the files.

I can't find the "game" folder on mac, I've selected "show package contents" and I don't see the "game" folder has anyone installed this on mac?

Yeah, it is! You have to click "see all" DLCs for it to appear because the game page only lists the first five DLCs.

I downloaded it on the app on my computer, Windows, but when I clink into the folder and into the itch folder it says nothing is there. I've done it 3 times, help please?
The app seems to be having problems, you might want to try downloading the files directly instead and see if that works!
when I tried that it doesn't download into a folder. I get an icon and then it cycles me through my web browser.
When I download it through the browser it simply shows me an rpa file with the browsers icon and then when i try to open that it loops me back to the browser and tries to redownload it. Do i just put the rpa file as is in the game folder?
Yeah! The rpa file doesn't need to be installed or changed, you just put it directly into the Our Life game folder.
On Windows I downloaded and moved the file to the game folder, but after the Step 4 ending screen I'm back to the Title screen. is there something else i'm supposed to do?

Here's what the Android programmer says about that: to help add the DLC you can download an external file management app like Amaze File Manager (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amaze.filemanager) or to connect your phone to a computer to move/update the files.
You'll need to redownload and install the base game and any other DLCs you own to have them be up-to-date as well. I'm sorry for the trouble!

I have a samsung s10, so ymmv. Hopefully, this helps (I know there are a lot of steps, but it took me less than 5 minutes):
1. Download the base game from itch.io (this is an .apk file)
2. Download the DLC(s) you purchased (these are .rpa files)
4. Download and install Amaze File Manager from the Play Store
5. Install the base game by clicking on the .apk file and following the prompts to install
6. Open the Amaze app and follow the prompts to allow access to your files, as well as grant "All files access" (clicking Grant will take you to the Settings location, but you'll have to find Amaze in the list, click on its name, and toggle "Allow access to all files" on)
7. Once that setting is toggled on, go back to Amaze and find your Downloads folder there. Inside should be all your .rpa files.
8. Long press on the first .rpa file you want to install and then click on the rest. All of them should be highlighted before the next step.
9. Once highlighted, click on the copy button (an icon of two rectangles in front of each other) at the top of the app
10. Navigate to your Android folder within the Amaze app, then the data folder inside of it. You might have to allow another access prompt here.
11. Scroll down to the "ourlife.demo.apk" file and click on it, then the "files" file inside.
12. At the top of the app, there should be a new folder button (picture of a folder with a +). Click that and make a new folder called "game".
13. Click on the "game" folder, and then click the "Use This Folder" button at the bottom of the app. You will again need to grant access through a prompt.
14. Finally, click the "Paste" button at the bottom of the app, and you should be all set! Open the Our Life app, and enjoy getting married to the best crybaby!!!

getting to the android/data folders is a colossal pain even with file browsing apps. anyone else?

Hey there! Fellow mac user here, so I might be able to help if it still hasn't worked. If you already downloaded to 1.5 ver, I suggest you move all dlcs from your last downloaded game of Cove and move it to the game folder in the 1.5. To get to the Game Folder, you'll need to click "Show Package Contents" by right clicking. One you've got show package contents it shouldn't take much to find the game folders (Contents -> Resources -> Autorun -> Game). It might ask later ask you about a privacy issue and that it wont work because of an unidentified creator or smth like that. Just go to setting, click on security and privacy, get on the General tab in it, and then allow the Cove game to work! Hopefully this helps. <3
I'm loving the DLC so far! but I've got a small bug (or maybe hidden content?) that Cove is shirtless in his wedding attire. xD
I chose short-sleeved blue shirt, white vest, no jacket, no tie & a corsage. The white pants was all that made it to the sprite. Bless him.

I'm playing on windows and when I try to download the DLC I get a "no manager for installer known" error. I assume it's because the game is made for all systems and it doesn't have a specific download for each one. Does anyone know how to fix this problem??
have you tried downloading from an internet explorer program instead of the desktop client? that worked for me on PC at least.
For Mac users, we didn't need a program like we thought.
Just follow their instructions which were to copy the new files in the game folder:
1. Download the rpa file after purchase
2. Open the folder of your current Our Life Build and find the "game" folder inside. To view folders on Mac you might have to right click the application launcher and select "view package contents" and you may have to open a couple different folders before you find the "game" folder tucked away inside
3. Move or copy/paste the rpa file into the Our Life "game" folder

Do you remember that we had to download everything again after a new update and then put everything in the game folder?
We basically just have to do it again, but this time it’s easier since you only need to drag the rga file into the game folder.
