I just finished the demo and all I've got to say about it is WOW! I am loving everything about this game. It is very well done, the characters, from what I could see in the demo are greatly developed, I can relate to them and feel their own unique personalities. And the customization availiable for both your MC and the relationship they have with Coven are such a great added value. I am simply in love with this game. And the art style, phew! Simply stunning! Kudos to the artist for that amazing job!! This game absolutely seem to be going in the good direction! I can't wait for the final version of it!

I just finished the demo, and I'm at a loss for words. I absolutely can not wait for the full release. The plot is so fantastic it genuinely blows my mind. The thought put into the storyline, the characters, and the dialogue is amazing. It's not even out yet, but it's already in my top 3 visual novels of all time. I love the gameplay and how we're able to change the characters traits and also feelings. I love everything about this game. Keep up the greatness!

I downloaded the Android version. It's super cute so far. But I'm having the hardest time with the character creation screen. The arrows are so tiny I can't click on anything. And my phone screen (Galaxy Note 9) is on the bigger side.
Thank you for playing! I'm glad you think it's cute. Right now all versions of the demo are exactly the same because the game is incomplete. The finished project will have special alterations for each of the builds to make sure they're as compatible as possible with the different systems people will be playing the game on (i.e. the Android version will get screens that are arranged with extra large buttons and fewer things in the way). We'll also be releasing a demo update to add an entirely new character creation screen system that has somewhat larger buttons by default in a month or two. So it's definitely only a temporary thing, but I'm sorry it's been troublesome.
Hi! I'm having an issue with the PC demo? Every time I go to open the extracted application it just freezes and won't respond, have i installed something incorrectly? I'd appreciate any help with this problem.
Hey, I'm really sorry you're having trouble. I would recommend deleting it then re-downloading if no error code is happening and the game just isn't responding. Sometimes things go wrong when downloading/extracting and doing it all fresh could fix it up.
Also, if you have a lot of other things going on in the background when booting the game up for the first time, maybe close them so your computer can focus more on getting the demo running.
Hopefully that works out! Just let us know if you're still having issues.
this game made me so emotional. cove is adorable and i want to protect him at all costs. the music, the writing, the beautiful art, the insane customization...i have never been so excited for a game to come out! i can't wait until the full game comes out in the summer!
I played the demo for this game a month ago, and once I saw the update I immediately launched it once more! Speaking of the update, the amount of details that have been added in this short time frame really gave me the chills! The visuals are amazing, and I appreciate the customizable characters and the character sprites.
I just wanted to say that this game is an absolute joy to play, and it really tugs at my heartstrings. The fact that I get to develop a relationship with someone starting from childhood really sets in the realism, and I appreciate that we as players get to decide what type of romance we'd like!
Cove is such a sweetheart, and his design is amazing. I like that we as players have a role in his development but not too much in that it's obvious how he'll turn out. The fact that I can't force him to become someone also helps with the realism aspect.
All in all, I appreciate the hard work that's being put into this and from what we have so far I think it's going to go far! I am absolutely looking forward to the completion of this game, and you bet I'll always be replaying this game every time an update is added!

I'm sorry you had an issue! That happens if you load a save from a much older build of the demo and try to play the save file with all the new content of the current demo. It's not defined in the older save file, so the game can't properly access the new content. If you start a fresh file those errors won't cause you any more problems!

Initially only three DLCs will be available to buy and it'll cost around $9 USD to get all three. Though, more will be released over time. Once all the planned DLCs are out it'll cost about $20 USD to get all of them.
We'll do our best to make the game worth the wait and DLCs worth the money ^^
So my game keeps freezing for some reasons and I have to keep closing it and making make my character over and over again and also the fact that I can't even play it! I'm getting so frustrated right now, do you know how I can fix it???
I'm sorry you're having troubles! What build are you playing (Windows, Mac, Linux, or Android)? For now I can recommend going to the config page and turning Animations to Off so the game has fewer things to load. And, if need be, deleting the game off your device and re-downloading it to make sure nothing went wrong during the download/extraction process the first time around.

I usually don't leave reviews, but this demo was fantastic! I'm pretty picky when it comes to VNs, as I often find them to be unrealistic and a bit corny. This demo didn't feel forced or awkward at all! And the art is beautiful. If you're debating whether or not to try it out, I strongly urge you to download it! Devs, you did an amazing job and I look forward to the full game!

I really like the fact that the relationship screen was made a little bit earlier, I was embarrassed that the feelings of the MC after all the events could change (e.g., a neutral relationship, and in the end became friends, so that they would walk together in school), now that counts)

Oh boy, I absolutely love this game. Of all the VN I have played, Our Life seems to have a special place in my heart that I cannot explain. Such a well-written plot and amazing character development, I played it so many times while selecting different choices combination just to see what would change, had so much fun trying to figure out which ones would make Cove's appearance/personality change — really cute boy, love his shy demeanor. I'm till a sucker for childhood-friends-to-lovers.
Also, Derek is such a sweetheart, he reminds me of an overly excited puppy. I absolutely love how he, and everyone else, just accept MC for who they are when their pronouns change, really heartwarming.
The height choices were a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. As a tall girl, not being the generic 5'5 (female) MC is surely refreshing, but the concept of a romance between a really short MC and tall boi Cove is sound really cute to me.
I remember saying something about hoping my name gets to be the voiced ones and gUESS WHAT??? It didn't. However, Nina is actually one of my nicknames, so close enough! I'm really happy.

Yesterday I found this song called The Reason I Wanted To Die by Mika Nakashima i know, it sounds really sad and it kinda is but hear me out and some verses (such as the ones about the seagulls, the waves and even the one about an apricot tree) reminded me of the games, as well as bringing me some questions. It is said in some part of the demo, right before we set our relationship with Cove if I'm not mistaken, that the player is not able to like him less – that's what's bugging me a little but in a good way. Is there a possibility of them (MC and Cove) drifting apart?
I'm sorry, let me explain my train of thought. Let's imagine a route where MC and Cove are childhood friends, cute little pair, but as the years go by they become more distant to each other — change of mindsets or circle of friends, interests, etc — until their friendship is not as strong as a few years back. What happens next would be up to the player when the next relationship set screen appears: their relationship could stay the way it is or be back to the buddy-buddy stuff maybe then the crush option?
I'm not sure if my explanation is good, does it makes any sense?
Anyway, is not something that needs to be answered if it conflicts with any plan made for the game.

That is definitely a neat idea! Though I'm afraid it'd make the writing and programming a bit too large of a task for our team to handle. Adding a totally new dynamic type is something we could only consider after the game is done. If OL is received well and people are still wanting more content after all the DLCs come out, maybe we could consider expanding the Relationship Dynamic screen options.

Honestly, I absolutely LOOVEE games that only focus on one love interest. It gives more time to be invested in a meaningful plot as well as choices and pathways! The concept with customizing the personality and appearance of Cove and MC is such a great idea. It definitely tailors to the players wants/needs so each branch is different.
BTW, will the art for the MC be changed into something more detailed as she becomes older? I was hoping it to be something more similar to the other sprites since the artwork is so beautiful TT . TT
The story so far is so heartwarming and innocent. It honestly gives me Kingdom Hearts vibes and I adore that! There were a few grammatical and spelling errors but other than that, you guys are doing great! Also, o m g the soundtrack! If possible, please upload a link/file for the soundtrack!!

Hi there! I remember hearing about this game some time ago when there was no demo out and promising myself I'll definetely check it out when it comes out. I played XOXO Droplets and absolutely adored it so when I heard you're making another game I was really excited. Due to life however, I've only gotten to playing it last night (better late than never tho, right?)
I have quite a lot to say so sorry for the long comment.
First of all, I really really love the MC personality concept. One of my favorite things ever when it comes to any sort of game is making choices that determine the MC's personality. A lot of dating sims in particular have very similar protagonists and unfortunately for me, that type of personality is extremely different from my own. While I have gotten used to it and I do not mind anymore, it's still incredibly nice when I see a unique protagonist (one of the reasons why I loved XOXO Droplets so much) and the ''choosing your own personality'' game mechanic is my favorite thing a game can have.
I have noticed this in specifically Everett's and Bae's route but you guys seem to be very open minded. The fact that you can change the MC's pronouns and the fact that you have 2 moms is something incredibly cool. It's not something you see often in games at all, in fact it might be the first time I've seen it. Doesn't really have anything to do with the game itself but I always find it a plus when I know that the people making these games are progressive and open minded. Makes me wanna support them more.
The relationship thing (comfort and interest) is extremely interesting. I can only imagine how much work and time that is to do tho. I can already see myself playing through it multiple times just to see the differences.
Cove is incredibly adorable! I have to admit I'm not a big fan of the friends to lovers thing, childhood friends especially, but after playing through the demo I really don't think that's gonna be a problem. I'm not sure if he can turn out differently in only the demo, but he seemed like an absolute sweetheart with my choices. So much so that by the end of it all I was really upset about it not being longer. So I'm definetely liking this relationship, at least the way I did it.
The fact that the choices affect his personality as well seemed really weird to me at first but the more I thought about it the more I realized how much sense it makes and how unique and cool that idea is. Honestly props to the person who came up with the idea.
The cameo that Shiloh and Jeremy had really took me by surprise! I was also really dissapointed in myself for not recognizing Jeremy (since he is my fav from the jerk squad). I had a revelation when I suddenly remembered that he said he had anger issues as a kid haha.
And last but definetely not least, the art! Omg, the art. It's so...pretty. I found myself just pausing for a few moments to just look at it. It's seriously so well done I couldn't believe it.
All in all, I seriously can't wait for this game! I'm in no financiary condition to join the Kickstarter but I'm 100% joining your patreon and getting the DLC when the game comes out and I finally get myself a job haha.
P.S: the voice acting for Cove is absoblutely adorable. Melted my heart.

Thank you so much! Our Life will be released for free so everyone can enjoy. But there will be six optional DLCs that cost 3-4USD each. But either way, you don't have to buy anything to complete the game. I hope the finished version will live up to expectations ^^.
There's DLC that will unlock the locked DLC Moments on the Moment Select Screen in Steps 1, 2, and 3. So that's three of six the DLCs. Then there are two DLCs that give you the option to pursue a shorter romance story with someone other than Cove, Derek or Baxter. The final DLC is a special wedding themed DLC for Cove. It takes place after Step 4 and is all about planning/enjoying your special day with him.
This game is so amazing, I was immediately hooked! It's got such a cool setup and concept, and Cove is so lovable! I love the fact we can sort of shape how he becomes... I can't wait to see what the full game will be like!

So my game keeps freezing for some reasons and I have to keep closing it and making make my character over and over again and also the fact that I can't even play it! I'm getting so frustrated right now, do you know how I can fix it???
I'm sorry you're having troubles! What build are you playing (Windows, Mac, Linux, or Android)? For now I can recommend going to the config page and turning Animations to Off so the game has fewer things to load. And, if need be, deleting the game off your device and re-downloading it to make sure nothing went wrong during the download/extraction process the first time around.

Just played through the demo and this game is adorable! Cove is really likable and the variety you have in your interactions with the other characters is a real breath of fresh air compared to other like visual novels! I'm really excited to see what'll happen with this game in the future!

The art is precious (so is Cove), there are a lot of options in the story and the most important, it flows naturally, almost like if I was there.

I usually don't leave reviews, but this demo was fantastic! I'm pretty picky when it comes to VNs, as I often find them to be unrealistic and a bit corny. This demo didn't feel forced or awkward at all! And the art is beautiful. If you're debating whether or not to try it out, I strongly urge you to download it! Devs, you did an amazing job and I look forward to the full game!

I really like the fact that the relationship screen was made a little bit earlier, I was embarrassed that the feelings of the MC after all the events could change (e.g., a neutral relationship, and in the end became friends, so that they would walk together in school), now that counts)

Oh boy, I absolutely love this game. Of all the VN I have played, Our Life seems to have a special place in my heart that I cannot explain. Such a well-written plot and amazing character development, I played it so many times while selecting different choices combination just to see what would change, had so much fun trying to figure out which ones would make Cove's appearance/personality change — really cute boy, love his shy demeanor.
I'mtill a sucker for childhood-friends-to-lovers.Also, Derek is such a sweetheart, he reminds me of an overly excited puppy. I absolutely love how he, and everyone else, just accept MC for who they are when their pronouns change, really heartwarming.
The height choices were a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. As a tall girl, not being the generic 5'5 (female) MC is surely refreshing, but the concept of a romance between a really short MC and tall boi Cove is sound really cute to me.
I remember saying something about hoping my name gets to be the voiced ones and gUESS WHAT??? It didn't. However, Nina is actually one of my nicknames, so close enough! I'm really happy.

Yesterday I found this song called The Reason I Wanted To Die by Mika Nakashima
i know, it sounds really sad and it kinda is but hear me outand some verses (such as the ones about the seagulls, the waves and even the one about an apricot tree) reminded me of the games, as well as bringing me some questions. It is said in some part of the demo, right before we set our relationship with Cove if I'm not mistaken, that the player is not able to like him less – that's what's bugging me a little but in a good way. Is there a possibility of them (MC and Cove) drifting apart?I'm sorry, let me explain my train of thought. Let's imagine a route where MC and Cove are childhood friends, cute little pair, but as the years go by they become more distant to each other — change of mindsets or circle of friends, interests, etc — until their friendship is not as strong as a few years back. What happens next would be up to the player when the next relationship set screen appears: their relationship could stay the way it is or be back to the buddy-buddy stuff
maybe then the crush option?I'm not sure if my explanation is good, does it makes any sense?
Anyway, is not something that needs to be answered if it conflicts with any plan made for the game.

Adding a totally new dynamic type is something we could only consider after the game is done. If OL is received well and people are still wanting more content after all the DLCs come out, maybe we could consider expanding the Relationship Dynamic screen options.

Honestly, I absolutely LOOVEE games that only focus on one love interest. It gives more time to be invested in a meaningful plot as well as choices and pathways! The concept with customizing the personality and appearance of Cove and MC is such a great idea. It definitely tailors to the players wants/needs so each branch is different.
BTW, will the art for the MC be changed into something more detailed as she becomes older? I was hoping it to be something more similar to the other sprites since the artwork is so beautiful TT . TT
The story so far is so heartwarming and innocent. It honestly gives me Kingdom Hearts vibes and I adore that! There were a few grammatical and spelling errors but other than that, you guys are doing great! Also, o m g the soundtrack! If possible, please upload a link/file for the soundtrack!!

Hi there! I remember hearing about this game some time ago when there was no demo out and promising myself I'll definetely check it out when it comes out. I played XOXO Droplets and absolutely adored it so when I heard you're making another game I was really excited. Due to life however, I've only gotten to playing it last night (better late than never tho, right?)
I have quite a lot to say so sorry for the long comment.
First of all, I really really love the MC personality concept. One of my favorite things ever when it comes to any sort of game is making choices that determine the MC's personality. A lot of dating sims in particular have very similar protagonists and unfortunately for me, that type of personality is extremely different from my own. While I have gotten used to it and I do not mind anymore, it's still incredibly nice when I see a unique protagonist (one of the reasons why I loved XOXO Droplets so much) and the ''choosing your own personality'' game mechanic is my favorite thing a game can have.
I have noticed this in specifically Everett's and Bae's route but you guys seem to be very open minded. The fact that you can change the MC's pronouns and the fact that you have 2 moms is something incredibly cool. It's not something you see often in games at all, in fact it might be the first time I've seen it. Doesn't really have anything to do with the game itself but I always find it a plus when I know that the people making these games are progressive and open minded. Makes me wanna support them more.
The relationship thing (comfort and interest) is extremely interesting. I can only imagine how much work and time that is to do tho. I can already see myself playing through it multiple times just to see the differences.
Cove is incredibly adorable! I have to admit I'm not a big fan of the friends to lovers thing, childhood friends especially, but after playing through the demo I really don't think that's gonna be a problem. I'm not sure if he can turn out differently in only the demo, but he seemed like an absolute sweetheart with my choices. So much so that by the end of it all I was really upset about it not being longer. So I'm definetely liking this relationship, at least the way I did it.
The fact that the choices affect his personality as well seemed really weird to me at first but the more I thought about it the more I realized how much sense it makes and how unique and cool that idea is. Honestly props to the person who came up with the idea.
The cameo that Shiloh and Jeremy had really took me by surprise! I was also really dissapointed in myself for not recognizing Jeremy (since he is my fav from the jerk squad). I had a revelation when I suddenly remembered that he said he had anger issues as a kid haha.
And last but definetely not least, the art! Omg, the art. It's so...pretty. I found myself just pausing for a few moments to just look at it. It's seriously so well done I couldn't believe it.
All in all, I seriously can't wait for this game! I'm in no financiary condition to join the Kickstarter but I'm 100% joining your patreon and getting the DLC when the game comes out and I finally get myself a job haha.
P.S: the voice acting for Cove is absoblutely adorable. Melted my heart.

There's DLC that will unlock the locked DLC Moments on the Moment Select Screen in Steps 1, 2, and 3. So that's three of six the DLCs. Then there are two DLCs that give you the option to pursue a shorter romance story with someone other than Cove, Derek or Baxter. The final DLC is a special wedding themed DLC for Cove. It takes place after Step 4 and is all about planning/enjoying your special day with him.

It's LGBTQ+! You can choose the pronouns of the MC (he, she, or they). And you can change your pronouns as the story goes on if you want your MC to be trans or gender fluid.
