Hi! Just reporting because I was playing the game and it exited itself then I went to the folder to find the game file and it was deleted. So instead I did the back up one, our life-32. It worked for awhile then did the same thing. I tried refreshing, nothing. I was sad because I was almost at the 3rd step. So if you could please try to fix this or help me try to fix it. That will be really helpful thank you.
Edit: Tried to download the game again didn't work for some reason. It won't let me because it said I didn't have permission?
It was removed by your virus scanner, most likely. Sometimes the game is falsely flagged as dangerous and the scanner quarantines the file. You'll need to tell your scanner to trust it or turn the scanner off while running the game. I'm sorry for the trouble!
I'm afraid I'd need more info to give any concrete advice. But it's possible you're using a save file that's too old to work with the current version or some part of your game isn't fully updated (the base version of the game and/or the wedding DLC file). Those are usually the causes of problems in the wedding DLC.
Love the game so much I just wish I could buy the dlc's but yeah. Its just quite too expensive for me (in our currency I mean). Well I can make it 20 dollar. Just wait. TvT.

Honestly, Tik Tok doesn't have enough hype for this wonderful game. I saw this game being promoted on itch's website in 2019 and even downloaded the beta version. It sounded interesting; a visual novel/life sim game where your MC bonds with their new neighbor Cove. It sounded right up my alley so I think I donated some funds to help its development. I soon forgot about it though but it was saved in my favorites. I finally got around to downloading the game and the dlcs that came with it and OMG!!! This game turned out better than I ever expected. And now I'm fangirling so bear with me. Obviously, this game is amazing and well-executed. But what really got me for the game was how nostalgic and relatable the game was. There were some scenes in there that I had done myself in my youth. Like the scene where the MC and her cousin put on a show for their family. I did the same thing with my cousin when I was younger. Or how the Mc's moms would always tell Mc "Good night, sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bite" before bed. My mom said the same thing to me every night. And don't even get me started on Cove. The Cove I had was a really sensitive guy who was prone to crying when his emotions got the best of him and he was terrible at intimacy or sexual situations. All in all, he was an adorable crybaby. And I was honestly wondering if that would put me off the game because I've never gone for sensitive partners in rl but no. I found myself always cooing and reassuring Cove whenever his crying sprite would come up. Like full-on, "No Cove baby, don't cry." It was...definitely a new experience for me. And I loved how the game tackled the serious topics presented, like divorce, adoption, pressure, etc. Cove's parents' story was my favorite one to experience because my parents' story was similar. I feel like stories of divorce are always seen in a negative light when that's not the case. Some people don't work out or click in the end and that's okay. Of course, I totally cried. I could go on and on about the many ways I loved this game but I'm going to end with the final dlc; the wedding. My god, that was amazing. A fully customizable wedding; from the colors, to the cake design, to the music, everything. I appreciated how the game added traditions like jumping over the broom or breaking glass (I picked the jumping over the broom option because my family does that). And maybe this was because I was already 10 hours into the game but when I did the wedding planning, I was tired. At some point, I was frustrated that there was so much to decide on. Really nailed the frustration and mentally exhausting ordeal of planning a wedding there. I'm a little peeved there wasn't a garter toss option for the wedding but maybe it was personality-specific or something. I would have liked that as an option but the bouquet toss makes up for it. I had to videotape the game because I was so impressed with it. I'm excited to see what the alternative love interest routes have in store.
One of the best games I've ever played, brings so much comfort its unbelievable! Thank you to the devs, I'll buy any future dlcs to support the amazing work you guys bring<3
I think it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played. There are a lot of positives: Cove is first of all an extremely touching character, the other characters of the game are as endearing as he is, the graphics are incredible, the music too. I love that we can personalize Cove’s appearance as well as ours! The fact that we can really create our own story with several different choices is fabulous! The only "negative" point, even if it’s not really bad, would be to be able to see the entire appearance of our character when we customize it and to have the French version (well that would be just a little extra).
Anyway, I thank the developers for this beautiful game, it’s a very good job!
I've been following this game mostly silently since step 2, and I'm just so amazingly happy at how awesome this game has turned out to be. This will be one of my favorite games forever & always.
I can get this game to run with all the DLCs on pc but despite following all the instructions I can't seem to get it to run on my phone. I've got an ASUS rog phone 5, the file manager shows the file path the same as the instructions say "Android/data/ourlife.demo.apk/game/dlc_step_(1)(2)(3).rpa" but it just continuously shows not installed no matter how many times I restart the phone and app. Its a great game, if your on pc, but its just the demo on mobile it seems

Hi I hate to be a bother but before I go through the motions blindly, I was wondering the general process of downloading this bad boy on android/getting the DLC running. I've never really done so before but my computer is temporarily out of commission and I definitely would love to have this downloaded and playable for my flight home in a few days to help with my anxiety over planes. 😅

absolutely adored this game and maybe i cried a lil, would love it if all the dlcs came in a bundle though (for the three step dlcs at least) to make purchasing them easier, but besides that 10/10
edit: just saw the devs reply to a similar comment, I think leaving the wedding as a stand alone is a good idea, just because it feels like an additional stretch in the story, the three cove steps could be one dlc, then the other characters dlcs could come in a pack together. they are 100% worth the full price you'd pay for them separately, just easier to buy within one purchase rather than multiple semi-microtransactions :,)
that was honestly the best visual novel experience i've had in a long time. I immediately got attached to all the characters (cove especially) and i'm not going to recover anytime soon :) imma be honest i felt a few too many emotions lmao

Could you release a full game version? Id happily pay 20 bucks. I cant get the dlc to work and i see alot of comments saying they also having a problem. If a full unlocked purchased game aslo something thats coming in the future? I really enjoy this game alot!
Did you get it to work on Android? I've tried PC and android they won't merge. Says it's un readable. I have a gaming pc and mod all the time. I've never had this much issues
I haven't done it lately on Android so I have no idea if it's changed or if there's a new way, but for me each DLC worked one at a time and will overwrite the other. They will not work all at once.
So if you have Step 1 DLC active and then apply Step 2 DLC, then only Step 2 DLC will be active while Step 1 will be inactive. Then if you reapply Step 1 DLC, then Step 2 DLC will be inactive. If you jump straight to Step 3 DLC from Step 1 DLC, then Step 3 DLC will be active but Step 1 DLC will be inactive again.
What I did was progress through the game with one DLC active then applied the next DLC as I went (preferably before I entered the next Step at the transition). My save files were fine, I just changed which DLCs were active.
So each time you want to play a certain DLC you will have to reapply it if it's not active.
If you pay the dlcs already on pc, it'll work on android, all you have to do is look up the games that you buy by using your e-mail as a confirmation here, then it'll be send to your emails. After that you can re-download all your dlcs to your phone without paying it twice.
We might be able to have a version like that sometime! But the problem is deciding what DLC would it include. All DLCs, meaning also Derek and Baxter or just the Cove ones? And if it was just the Cove ones, would it have the Wedding DLC or just the three main Steps? We can't have multiple DLC packs because it'd get confusing, but if we had one with everything single DLC we won't be able to release until the last two DLCs are done.
I appreciate the reply! I was meaning the cove ones. I was unaware that baxter or Derek was an option. I beleive most of the people are just Android that would like the completed game. Its the fact that some people cant get the dlc to work. Thats why i was hoping for an unlocked version.
I know that all good things know when to end and not drag on but I would literally play and pay all the time if they wrote content for Cove constantly and treated it like some mobile otome games where you log in daily or MMORPGs that constantly get updated with new content. 😂😂 Just going through different days and scenarios and conflicts of Cove and MCs life. This game was so good and I had the biggest smile on my face everytime I knew I had time to play. The story was beautiful, I loved the characters and the choices were so nice and felt so real . Such a lovely way to look at our life, our relationships and decisions. Teared up a little at the end because I got so attached to it <3

I'll be back for the dlcs next payday but I'd like to make special mention of how in the fireworks section if you showed signs of discomfort at the fireworks being so close by and noisy he offers to cover your ears for you! I was moved to tears at that option since I struggle with a fear of loud noises and fireworks. not to mention that I quickly fell in love with this sweet boy. i will most definitely replay once I've bought the dlcs but for now playing your new our life game will have to suffice since I cant bring myself to restart just to scour the beginning for anyway to get Shiloh to recognize you when He's out on the school field trip, I wish we had more interactions with that sweet boy, especially since hes an option in step 4 to say you wish was there...
You have to delete your old file, download the base game and any DLCs you own from their game pages again, and add the DLCs to your new "game" folder. Your saves will still be there even if you delete your 1.5.1 version!

This game is so great. So much work put into this, it's amazing! I cannot recommend this enough. The customizations, the character designs, the representation. Its all just so refreshing and so sweet. It feels so nice to have a character that is actually me and not just a preset. Thank you for making this game

How do you update from 1.4 to 1.5? I was trying to download 1.5 ver but keep ends up at 1.4... please help

If you're on the same device, the saves should automatically be in your new game build. Are you trying to bring the saves to a different computer?

Could you release a full game version? Id happily pay 20 bucks. I cant get the dlc to work and i see alot of comments saying they also having a problem. If a full unlocked purchased game aslo something thats coming in the future? I really enjoy this game alot!

Did you get it to work on Android? I've tried PC and android they won't merge. Says it's un readable. I have a gaming pc and mod all the time. I've never had this much issues

I haven't done it lately on Android so I have no idea if it's changed or if there's a new way, but for me each DLC worked one at a time and will overwrite the other. They will not work all at once.
So if you have Step 1 DLC active and then apply Step 2 DLC, then only Step 2 DLC will be active while Step 1 will be inactive. Then if you reapply Step 1 DLC, then Step 2 DLC will be inactive. If you jump straight to Step 3 DLC from Step 1 DLC, then Step 3 DLC will be active but Step 1 DLC will be inactive again.
What I did was progress through the game with one DLC active then applied the next DLC as I went (preferably before I entered the next Step at the transition). My save files were fine, I just changed which DLCs were active.
So each time you want to play a certain DLC you will have to reapply it if it's not active.

If you pay the dlcs already on pc, it'll work on android, all you have to do is look up the games that you buy by using your e-mail as a confirmation here, then it'll be send to your emails. After that you can re-download all your dlcs to your phone without paying it twice.
We might be able to have a version like that sometime! But the problem is deciding what DLC would it include. All DLCs, meaning also Derek and Baxter or just the Cove ones? And if it was just the Cove ones, would it have the Wedding DLC or just the three main Steps? We can't have multiple DLC packs because it'd get confusing, but if we had one with everything single DLC we won't be able to release until the last two DLCs are done.
I appreciate the reply! I was meaning the cove ones. I was unaware that baxter or Derek was an option. I beleive most of the people are just Android that would like the completed game. Its the fact that some people cant get the dlc to work. Thats why i was hoping for an unlocked version.

I know that all good things know when to end and not drag on but I would literally play and pay all the time if they wrote content for Cove constantly and treated it like some mobile otome games where you log in daily or MMORPGs that constantly get updated with new content. 😂😂 Just going through different days and scenarios and conflicts of Cove and MCs life. This game was so good and I had the biggest smile on my face everytime I knew I had time to play. The story was beautiful, I loved the characters and the choices were so nice and felt so real . Such a lovely way to look at our life, our relationships and decisions. Teared up a little at the end because I got so attached to it <3

I'll be back for the dlcs next payday but I'd like to make special mention of how in the fireworks section if you showed signs of discomfort at the fireworks being so close by and noisy he offers to cover your ears for you! I was moved to tears at that option since I struggle with a fear of loud noises and fireworks. not to mention that I quickly fell in love with this sweet boy. i will most definitely replay once I've bought the dlcs but for now playing your new our life game will have to suffice since I cant bring myself to restart just to scour the beginning for anyway to get Shiloh to recognize you when He's out on the school field trip, I wish we had more interactions with that sweet boy, especially since hes an option in step 4 to say you wish was there...how do i update my game if i downloaded via the website? i'm stuck at 1.5.1.
You have to delete your old file, download the base game and any DLCs you own from their game pages again, and add the DLCs to your new "game" folder. Your saves will still be there even if you delete your 1.5.1 version!

This game is so great. So much work put into this, it's amazing! I cannot recommend this enough. The customizations, the character designs, the representation.
