I JUST FINISHED THE DEREK EPILOGUE AND I BAWLED MY EYES OUT. I LOVE THIS MAN SO MUCH WORDS IN THE DICTIONARY COULD NOT EXPRESS THE FEELINGS I HAVE FOR HIMM! It would be a dream come true if there was a Derek marriage dlc! But then again im also happy just being his girlfriend (and making out with him)
For whatever reson, when i play the game it ends once I have my conversation with cove on the hill as YA in step 3. Is that the end of the game? Im confused on whether step 4 is a dlc because i cant find it anywhere on your page. For the record i play on andriod and haven't had any other problems with the game! Thank you (((o(*°▽°*)o)))
There should be three things that happen at the end: a final Step 3 scene, the credits, and then the Step 4 Epilogue scene (unless you have the Step 4 Wedding DLC). When you see the credits, just keep going a bit further after those, and the Epilogue scene should begin. If you're having more issues, just let me know and hopefully I can help!
i love this game os much i had to delete it off my other android phone because of a situation and im still crying over having to delete all my progress. WHY DOESNT IPHONE LET ME DOWNLOAD APPS UGHHH!!! this game CHANGED my life. im risking my chromebook thats ab to explode for this game because i love it so much. our life is such a lovely game, and cove is such a incredible well written character, i'm astonished. i've trully loved this game, it's definitely one of the best visual novels i've played so far, i'll call it one of my favorites. for someone who's demi and also autistic, cove was the perfect rep for me! i'm in love with the way the world and our relationship with the characters (especially cove!), is builden. i wish i could say a lot more but i'm sadly with no time and english isn't my first game, but i just wanted to express how MUCH this game impacted on me. thanks for devs for their hard work.
Been playing for years now, truly a life changing experience. Cove is the first character I actually started growing attach to like a real person, I SCREECHED in happiness when I saw him as a full grown adult in Step 4! I'd do ANYTHING to have a partner like Cove. I can't help but keep coming back to this game since it's such a beautiful experience

Our Life: Beginnings & Always is easily one of the most beautiful dating sims I’ve ever played, and I’ll do my best to put my love for it into words...somehow. (For context, I played it on Steam and loved it so much that I immediately bought all the DLCs there as well. Worth every penny.)
This game had been on my radar for a while, but I only recently got around to playing it. And I’m so glad I finally did. For my first playthrough, I started with just the free base game, and even that alone was an incredibly rich experience. The way you can shape not only your character but also the world around you felt so special. Watching the story progress through four different stages of life, seeing the characters grow not just in age but in personality, was deeply moving and created such a strong bond between the player and story.
After that first run, I knew I had to get the DLCs, and wow, they elevated the experience to a whole new level. Even the small changes they added brought such depth that it felt like a fresh, more complete journey. Growing up in Sunset Bird truly felt like being part of a living, breathing story.
And then there’s the man of the hour: Cove James Holden. What an absolute dreamboat. Watching him grow alongside the MC was so natural and heartfelt that falling in love with him was effortless. He’s so well written...sincere, genuinely sweet, layered, and just incredibly special. His story never felt forced or cheesy, it unfolded in such a genuine way that I was fully swept up in it every single time.
A huge shoutout to the Derek and Baxter DLCs as well! At first, I wasn’t sure how romances with them would feel compared to Cove’s story, but GBPatch completely nailed it. Both routes felt just as natural and emotionally rich, with their own unique charms in their respective Steps. Exploring Step 4 in different ways because of these DLCs added even more layers to an already wonderful game.
This game was such a perfect experience, and I’m truly hoping to see more like it in the future. Thank you, GBPatch, for something so special.

One thing I need help with, I've had it for years, but recently something seems to have gone wrong, in the gallery all the photos are locked (when I had them unlocked before). My saves are there, but it's like a file is missing (I went digging in my finder, so maybe I moved something?), for example if I try skipping only seen text, it won't let me. And I'm not sure how to fix this. I thought of just downloading the game again, but I have DLC's and saves that I would like to keep. I'm just wondering how to transfer them? I'm guessing it's in the package contents somewhere.

hi, so i don't typically leave reviews like this, but i made an account specifically for this game.
i can't express enough just how much this unsuspecting game came out of nowhere and felt like the emotional equivalent of a weighted, warm blanket draped over you. this is genuinely how i felt with cove, our parents, liz, and the rest of the characters you all breathed so much life into. i could tell this was a project made out of love and care. it didn't go unnoticed. <33
firstly, im, very fond over how the game prioritizes your consent over whether you decide to initiate affection or not. it's not often i see games do this, especially visual novel games. i'm very accustomed to the MC's agency being taken away, but in a game like this? that was a VERY pleasant surprise.
second, i really appreciate how the writers handled cove matureing as a person. when he mentioned he needed to (MINOR SPOILER: HANDLE CONFLICT BETTER), he handled introspection in a way that i could tell was still realistic to his age, but still so true to his character. it didn't mean he was infallible or overtly vigilant, it just meant he was a kid. and this story portrays that, and having a safe environment there to support you, perfectly.
no shame in confessing this, but i squealed i saw him hang by our car window in that one specific CG frame, or the other one where he hung by the window.
all in all, my heart is full after playing this game.
