Honestly, i think this was one of the sweetest games i've ever played in my life, even though it's just a demo, it's all so perfect that i don't even know how to explain it haha. One thing that also enchants me is that we can completely customize our character and how we feel about Cove aaaaaa lol, but continuing, i just wanted to thank you for your hard work to make such a beautiful game, the characters are so well built, with distinct and unique appearances and personalities, but in addition it would be very good if you made your other games (and maybe future games too) available for android ^^ since for now it is my only way to play, that would make me very happy and i bet that other people too- unfortunately on the issue of DLCs i won't be able to buy them when the game is officially released, but if i had the way, i would give ALL of my money to you LOL- anyway, i don't wait for the game to be released, i will mark it on my calendar so i don't forget hehe. (also sorry for the big comment, just wanted to show how i feel <33)

I played this gams recently and DIDN'T REALIZE IT WAS A DEMO, so I got really sad- THIS GAME IS SO CUTE! The characters are so easily loved, and their personalities are so unique (in my opinion ). Sorry for the confusion about it being a demo. But I'm happy you liked it so much! There's only about 50 days to go until it's finished, so it won't be too much longer. I'm afraid this game can't be played as GxG, but we're going to make a second one (Our Life: Now & Forever) and that's where you'll be able to experience growing up and falling in love with a charming lady. This one is for people who want dudes, haha. Hopefully you'll still have a good time with Our Life: Beginnings & Always!

When I played the demo I decided to buy all the DLCs.... but... and please do not be angry it is just my personal opinion, 4,- USD for a DLC is way too pricey in my eyes. I am absolutely willing to pay a price for the full game, when it is released (even it is free), but the DLC could be a bit cheaper.
Maybe you could (or want) to consider to make the DLCs cheaper, if you by 3 or 5 at once. Like a bundle. I would love that! Still, your game is gorgeous and I am crazy about it.

I'm very glad you like the game and that you're looking forward to it. There will be bundles that offer small discounts for buying multiple DLCs at a time.
To your other point, each DLC adds five Moments. Five Moments for $4 dollars is 80 cents for each of the Moments in the DLC. And if you've played the demo you know that every Moment has a huge script, dozens of choices, they give bonus alterations that will unlock in other events after you've been through the Moment, include special art, etc. Not everyone has money to spend on things like games. We understand that. You can play the version we're already releasing for free for everyone to enjoy in that case. No one has to have the DLCs to finish the game.
Though, since the base game is free, you could use the money you would've been able to put towards the base game to get the DLCs instead. This way rather than players spending $10-$15 on the base game (which would've been the price range for the game if it had a price point) and having no DLCs, people can spend $8 to still have the entire base game plus now two DLCs. Or not buy the DLCs at all and be able to fully play the game without paying anything.
I don't want to make you have a negative association with the game and have you be too uncomfortable to come back and play it by saying these things. I just want you to be more aware of what those prices really work out to be. We won't delete the comment 'cause it's not spam or harassment or something. You can still have this opinion.

Yeah, the page doesn't make it clear just how much is included the DLCs. This is only a demo page, so we didn't wanna spend too much space talking about upcoming DLC details. But we didn't consider that people would think they know what the DLCs include and then make a judgement based on the amount they assumed it had. We should've thought of that possibility, though. But now that it came up here in the comments, I tried to really break it down on how the deal ends up working out and that it's already a favorable system. We're definitely not intending to make people pay a bunch for every little thing. All the DLCs will have lots of scenes and new content included.
That's cool the game is coming out right around your birthday! There will be six DLCs in total, one related to each of the four Steps and two that unlock side romance stories with other guys. Only two of the six will be available on launch because all of them are really big. I'm afraid we need more time to get them done. But at least that means there will be more Our Life content to look forward to for a long time coming.

Every time I try to download this itll either download fully and say forbidden or not even finish downloading and say forbidden. I've looked it up and it says I need permission to download the game into my files and to contact the website or owner of the game or make an account but I've downloaded tons of other games off here already, with and without and account. Please help me, this game is what I've been looking for FOR YEARS. Life will feel meaningless if I cant play this >.< 😭😭😭🥺 This is the one game I can have the realest friend or whatever ever, that I cant find in real life.. true friendship.. I've already changed every setting I could to try to fix this. I've tried lots of things. And my phone should be useable for this game, it just got updated to android version 10 or whatever, I think that's the latest version? But I'm not too sure, I cant figure out how to get to the older downloads for this game to try that instead. PLEASE HELP!
I'm sorry you're having trouble downloading the game! We don't require special permissions to download the file, so the error is a little hard to figure out. Can you try downloading the Itch.io App and then downloading the game through the app? Sometimes that helps get past blocks. The game is also large so perhaps it's not allowed on your phone because of a space issue and freeing up someone memory would make it more doable. Also sometimes an initial download just goes strange and then later downloads don't work because of that. So closing everything, making sire something nothing is running in the background, giving it a few minutes, and then trying would have it again might go more smoothly.
I really love how much your choices can affect Cove, as per seen in the trailers. The character customization is very unique, I haven't seen it in any other game. Overall, this game is spectacular, even if it's still a demo. I'm extremely picky when it comes to otome games, but there was something in this game that caught my full on attention

That looks like an error that happens if you played an older version of the demo and tried to load an old save file or hit the Continue button. Please try downloading the latest version of the demo and playing the game by using the New File button. That should fix things.
I'm sorry if you don't want to restart, but unfortunately Our Life was/is a very in-progress game. Older builds aren't compatible with new ones, too much programming has changed. The only way to play it now is to start a file in the most current version of the game. There is an option to quickly skip past text you've already seen, though, so it doesn't take very long to get past content you've done before.
I ended up here after watching a gameplay of your game and falling in love, unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it for myself. I've been trying all day and before the download ends, it appears that downloading is prohibited. May you guys have another site who i could try downloading?

That being said, it's some of the more mundane and normal VN I've ever played and I'm liking it. Very inclusive too, having two mothers as parents. Kyra is especially so beautiful. I also like how our interaction shapes Cove's personality instead of just affecting his relationship with the MC
Cove has as many hairstyle options as the Step you're in. So Step 1 has just one hair he can have, Step 2 has two, and Step 3 will have three options. You can see Cove with short hair in Step 3!
This game truly gives me everything I ever wanted AND MORE. When I first stumbled upon it I was like hell yeah lemme see what this bad boy is alll about but honestly I got so much more than I bargined for and I absolutely adore the cast.
I can't wait to see the game fully polished and be an adult with Cove like eugh what a sweetie pie never change you goof.
Aaaaaah this is so cool! I love how extensive the options are and I've always wanted a slice of life type of game where the characters grow up together! And that lgbtq+ rep too? LOVE IT!

Hi!! I may be being a bit stupid but I wanted to ask something,, it says four different stages of life but it says three parts will be released in novemeber, will there be another part or are two of the stages together in one part?
It's not a stupid question ^^. There will be a Step 4 that takes place when they're even older (23 years old), but that works as kind of an epilogue and not a main part of the story/arc of the game. We're gonna release it sometime after the first three Steps. Probably early 2021.

This whole game is just incredible. The way it calms down, makes you really feel somehow connected with characters. I appreciate whole work putted in that so much. 🖤
There's only one thing that bothers me(just a tiny little bit), as much as I love the fact that we can customize charakter.. I lack possibility of having heterochromia.
Not a big deal of course and it doesn't change the quality of game. But I got kinda hard time at the very beginning, like... I spend around 20 minutes just to think "Should I use the color of right eye or left?".
But as I said it's just personal problem and game is really, really amazing without this possibility. I hope you'll have a motivation and strength to finish it to November!

Thank you very much! I'm sorry heterochromia isn't an option. We did think about it but have yet to find a doable way for it to work for the system we have. If we do come up with a good enough method, it could be added as part of a post-release update. Though I can't say for sure if it will ever be very possible.

this game is just.. so beautiful!! ahh, I played it a while ago and it made my heart so soft. the art style is so pretty and the storyline is just, amazing??
but I've got a question, will this be available on ios platforms once released? 🥺 I really wish to play it on my tablet, as it is somewhat slow on my android phone.
I'm afraid we don't have plans to release on IOS right now because they make things really hard for developers to get on their platform/store. If the game is unexpectedly successful we might be able to manage it sometime. Though either way, we do plan on making the Android version more optimized/easier to run in the future, so hopefully that'll help.
This is an incredibly ambitious and impressive visual novel game. I'm not exactly a connoisseur of these types of games, but this one seems like some next-level stuff for the genre and it's just wonderful. I hope the team behind this is proud of their hard work!

How did you manage to make this game bring that feeling of nostalgia and peace?
I did not expect that I would like a visual novel so much that it only showed the protagonist's routine. But I loved it. Perhaps due to the fact that I really managed to feel like the protagonist himself. It's so cute to see her relationship (in my case) and Cove's progressing the way you choose. I don't like self-insert protagonists. I'm not necessarily a fan of beaches. And I usually get bored with everything from the "slice of life" genre. But this is one of the games that I'm most looking forward to playing.

I really like stories where a relationship with one character develops. And even more so when we see the whole history of their relationships, the growing up of the main characters. I absolutely fell in love with this game! All the choices were very thoughtful too, so thank you all for that. The moms reminded me of Korra and Asami from the Legend of Korra as well. I do have a question, in step 2 I was able to unlock the first two stories but I wasn't able to unlock the last three (family, dinner, & road trip). Was this because of my choices or has it not been developed yet?

This game truly gives me everything I ever wanted AND MORE. When I first stumbled upon it I was like hell yeah lemme see what this bad boy is alll about but honestly I got so much more than I bargined for and I absolutely adore the cast.
I can't wait to see the game fully polished and be an adult with Cove like eugh what a sweetie pie never change you goof.

Aaaaaah this is so cool! I love how extensive the options are and I've always wanted a slice of life type of game where the characters grow up together! And that lgbtq+ rep too? LOVE IT!
I have to say though, Cove's parents..? 100/10 They're both gorgeous, especially Kyra. I can see where Cove gets his looks from because hot damn.

This game is so well written and the art style is beautiful.
Every time a new build is dropped I enjoy making a different character. It helps me experience all aspects available.

Hi!! I may be being a bit stupid but I wanted to ask something,, it says four different stages of life but it says three parts will be released in novemeber, will there be another part or are two of the stages together in one part?
It's not a stupid question ^^. There will be a Step 4 that takes place when they're even older (23 years old), but that works as kind of an epilogue and not a main part of the story/arc of the game. We're gonna release it sometime after the first three Steps. Probably early 2021.

This whole game is just incredible. The way it calms down, makes you really feel somehow connected with characters. I appreciate whole work putted in that so much. 🖤
There's only one thing that bothers me(just a tiny little bit), as much as I love the fact that we can customize charakter.. I lack possibility of having heterochromia.
Not a big deal of course and it doesn't change the quality of game. But I got kinda hard time at the very beginning, like... I spend around 20 minutes just to think "Should I use the color of right eye or left?".
But as I said it's just personal problem and game is really, really amazing without this possibility. I hope you'll have a motivation and strength to finish it to November!

Thank you very much! I'm sorry heterochromia isn't an option. We did think about it but have yet to find a doable way for it to work for the system we have. If we do come up with a good enough method, it could be added as part of a post-release update. Though I can't say for sure if it will ever be very possible.

I'm afraid we don't have plans to release on IOS right now because they make things really hard for developers to get on their platform/store. If the game is unexpectedly successful we might be able to manage it sometime. Though either way, we do plan on making the Android version more optimized/easier to run in the future, so hopefully that'll help.
This is an incredibly ambitious and impressive visual novel game. I'm not exactly a connoisseur of these types of games, but this one seems like some next-level stuff for the genre and it's just wonderful. I hope the team behind this is proud of their hard work!

How did you manage to make this game bring that feeling of nostalgia and peace?
I did not expect that I would like a visual novel so much that it only showed the protagonist's routine. But I loved it. Perhaps due to the fact that I really managed to feel like the protagonist himself.
It's so cute to see her relationship (in my case) and Cove's progressing the way you choose.
I don't like self-insert protagonists. I'm not necessarily a fan of beaches. And I usually get bored with everything from the "slice of life" genre.
But this is one of the games that I'm most looking forward to playing.

I really like stories where a relationship with one character develops. And even more so when we see the whole history of their relationships, the growing up of the main characters. I absolutely fell in love with this game! All the choices were very thoughtful too, so thank you all for that. The moms reminded me of Korra and Asami from the Legend of Korra as well. I do have a question, in step 2 I was able to unlock the first two stories but I wasn't able to unlock the last three (family, dinner, & road trip). Was this because of my choices or has it not been developed yet?
Aw, I'm so happy you liked it! Those events aren't available because it's just a demo. They'll be playable no matter what choices you make once the game releases for real on November 2nd, 2020. ^^
